Good: Good build quality and features
Bad: usb port cover
Comment: Hi all !
If your like me and simply want an android phone that`s built to last , simple to use and has things that actually are worth having ie 12 meg camera with 16 x zoom ,4.3 inch screen , good battery life , LED Notification light ( for emails/text etc ) good sound quality and feels like a quality solid build phone then this xperia s from sony will do the job perfectly!
I`ve tried out just about all phones to date and this one is a cracker !
Only two niggles really and that`s the 3 touch control buttons at bottom of screen can be sometimes be temperamentle if being fussy ( as i am lol ) and the usb port is protected by a cover which you have to move to one side to use but i suppose does keep it clean from dirt .
You can also watch films from this phone on your large screen tv through the inbuilt HDMI port which is a cool feature indeed along with video hd recording .
Don`t worry about what android software it`s using as software changes that quick these days it`s pointless trying to keep up with the latest phone that will run it anyway ( bit of a con really ).
Thank you for reading this review and enjoy the phone if you buy one...Happy new year to all ....
Comment: I search about it and it's the perfect phone for me better than iphone5 and 4 :) .
Good: Great screen; good processor; came with Android 4, zippy and smooth; battery life not bad at all
Bad: Top-heavy, difficult to hold; sharp corners; unresponsive buttons (hardware and touchpad); usual poor additional skin
Comment: Don't understand the comments about the "slow" processor, it's as fast as I'd imagine a phone would need to be. Would be nice to have a SD slot but this doesn't bother iPhone users so I don't see it as a drawback here. The screen is absolutely fabulous; it's as easy to watch a movie on this as a much larger tablet. Only the odd shape and weight distribution irritates, making it awkward to use with one hand. Samsung's SIII is better in this regard.
Good: Camera, Screen, Design, Sony Apps, Physical Camera button, 32Gb internal memory
Bad: Fixed Battery, No SD Card, Difficult touch keys, Plastic in stead of Aluminum
Comment: Excellent Smartphone, much better than my previous Galaxy S2.
Good: Amazing camera, Good design, Ice Cream Sandwich, Near Field Communication
Bad: Camera quality not as good in lowlight, a bit heavyweight, battery life needs to be improved
Comment: I bought this a phone about two weeks ago, and I haven't regretted it. The 4.3 inch screen is bright and vivid with natural colors and a very high PPI, higher than that of iPhone 5.
The camera is great, but in low light situations the camera manages to capture quite a lot of noise. But if you have to take portraits or macros in lowlight you won't be disappointed. Although there are apps like ProCapture "Camera and panorama" it increases camera clarity and reduces noise in many situation s in lowlight.
CNET's review is a bit outdated because this phone got the Ice Cream Sandwich update about a month ago and will hopefully get Jellybean in 2013. Battery life should be improved but it lasts a day, and because of lithium polymer technology it charges really fast.
So yeah I recommend it.
Good: Great Camera - super fast - highly intuitive
Comment: Great phone, no complaints about it!
Good: Nice Design, Good CAMERA
Bad: YELLOW TINT SCREEN PROBLEM. 'Regional Warranty'? Not even European Warranty??
Comment: I have the 'yellow tint' problem with my Xperia Screen, which Sony acknowledged that was a problem observed on a number of devices and said to contact my local support that will fix the problem free of charge. However I bought my phone in my home country of Cyprus and just moved in the UK, so since Sony only provides 'Regional Warranty' I will most probably need to pay the charge myself to fix this problem! UNACCEPTABLE!!!
Comment: A great phone, I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever.
Good: camera, screen, fast working, look, design, Sound Clearity, processor... etc...
Bad: nothing is bad in sony xperia S
Comment: Sony Xperia S best Mobile in Other market available mobile in same renge...
Name:- Vicky Patel (Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India)
Good: Camera Battery
Bad: The pastic cover for the charger port on phone which could break off
Comment: I got this phone sim free as i wanted a white one which my carrier didnt have.I love this phone the bad comments on the review..ie no memory slot ect...and no ics os..the device is getting the update end of the month and i never used more then 32gb its about 25gb with OS installed on a phone..my reason for this phone was it was different to all the other high end phone...the screen is to die for and the best i seen..battery life i find good as i am a big caller and tend to check the internet..and find it will last till i get in from work and then some..the screen protection is fine but would of perfered Gorilla Glass 2 as a high end sony mobile i thought that would of been standard...
