Good: Everything is pleasing but nothing is good
Bad: Camera app starts slow,Sony's android skin and low quality to price level
Comment: I have been using this phone for half a year for now and there is a couple fairly disturbing problems with this phone. The biggest issues are:WiFi lockups, screenfreezes and Sony's shitty old interface which is slow, causes glitches and delays updates. It is time to toss this terrible software that is dragging down all and I do mean every single one of them down out of the bloody window. My friend has a xperia z and even his menu screens are choppy.Choppy home interface with a quad-core processor phone?Come on!Otherwise the phone is quite decent.Average!
Comment: I used this phone for 4 months .This phone has lots of features which is good ,but if you are looking for a phone that last at-least for 2 years ,pls dont buy it . it is cheap quality phone .keep freeze if you open 4 or more application at a time . and never think about going on rain with this phone inside your pocket .,I had to spend 80 pounds when I had this phone in my pocket on a small rainy day :(
Bad: Battery life, touch screen not respond
Comment: I liked this phone when I start to use it but start to hate after 3 months , phone keep freeze and touch screen doesn't respond and the battery dry in 4 hours after a full charge
Good: speed respond,home theater,camera live quality..upgradable!
Bad: battery life,extendend gadgets(optional extras)
Comment: Go hunt it!
Good: I am a proud owner of these handset,I love the respond I get when I tap to any applications from cameras, music tracking,Google map to internet..for a fact I love gaming-sony brings live entertainment on a portable device likes this...Yes it lakes some other approvals, and most irritating is getting the most important accessories like a pair of screen protector, pouch even the Bluetooth headset...these phone is like a skyfall indeed..Sony dropped it!
Bad: very sense touch, battery life realy, and mostly extended devices like the multi link stand..and more space please!!!!
Comment: So far am obsessed about it,its been 8months now owinng it-yet there are people who go crazy and wanna own it
Good: Look. Camera. Speed. ICS (jelly bean update soon). ETC
Bad: No SD, and front facing cam not as strong as S
Comment: Excellent quality phone. Looks AMAZEBALLS and runs like a boss, great customization with 13gb accessible storge so micro SD isnt really needed. Overall i have recommended this phone to everyone i know! XD
Good: camera, design n aluminium body, softwareUI, outdoor brightness, faster charging, sound quality in headphones,
Comment: i have been using this mobile from quite a while now first of let me say i bought this mobile after a research of a whole month i was looking for a good looks good screen good camera good processing speed and i was'nt bothered by battery life because if i was going to buy an android phone then battery is gonna be an issue even if i buy htc one x or galaxy s3 or any other super phone from my list of nomination hense i considered 6 mobiles namely htc one x, galaxy s2, motorola attrix 2, nokia lumia 800, xperia P, and sensation xe and in cost the only xperia P was less expensive then others .... with attrix 2 it lacked the attractive looks n screen lumia 800 had the perfect look i wanted but again it wasnt android for me without android is a phone without soul with sensation xe and galaxy s2 i was gettinng everything i wanted but in comparison to xperia P they were costly and not that beautiful as xperia P....so i was left with two options either i was gonna buy one x or xperia p ... for me both have best looks both had 8megapixel camera best screens one had bravia engine the other one was best from htc ....processing of one x is unparalleled but then again xperia was a dual core as well... but when i realised that the difference in prices is gigantic then i went ahead and got xperia P.... all i wanted is good screen camera looks and i was getting in lot less price the battery of xperia is 1800mA and xperia has 1300mA but then again the screen size of xperia is also smaller and processor is less so both batteries werent made to pass out a whole 24hours....xperia P is best mobile in its price range and now it also has ICE CREAM SANDWICH what else you want but my next phone is sure gonna be one x or xperia V
Good: The Look Is Awesome, Feels Like Holding A Very Premium Product. The Touch Is Also Excellent
Bad: No External Memory Card, No Removable Battery, Low Battery Stamina, Camera Produces To Much Colors, Till Now No ICS Update :(
Comment: The Whitemagic Technology Works Great, Support Various Video & Audio Formats, The Touch Is Amazingly Great, Camera Is Over All Good, It A Very Good Phone In Rs.20k (INR)
Good: I've heard the camera is exceptional. Sony screens are always good. Metallic casing is nice.
Bad: No MicroSD, no removeable battery. Currently, no custom roms available.
Comment: I was looking to replace my now ageing Xperia Arc, and the design of the new Sony NXT line certainly caught my eye. For anyone reading this from late August 2012 on, the gingerbread issue should be gone of course (although it's somewhat baffling that the 2011 devices got the upgrade before the 2012 ones...?).
Unfortunately, there are flaws with the Xperia NXT line that, for me, are a deal breaker. Sony have unfortunately taken a leaf out of Apple and HTC's books and made their new phones without expandable storage and with fixed batteries. These were in fact some of my main reasons for getting an android device rather than an iphone!
Software-wise, Sony have also made something of a bad rep for themselves. The stock Sony 4.0.4 android on my Xperia Arc ran so slowly the device was practically unusable - fortunately, custom roms saved me. Who would buy another Sony phone knowing that, when the next upgrade is out, your phone will most likely slow to a crawl thanks to the added bloatware?
Sony are fairly supportive of 3rd party roms, which is a good step, but why are these often both faster AND more stable than the official offerings? At the time of this review, there is unfortunately still no CM9 or MIUI for the Xperia P, even in development, as far as I can tell.
Good: Superb camera, beautiful design and finish, great display, very fast in normal use, ICS coming soon
Bad: Nothing really
Comment: Deserves a much higher score. Considering it's much cheaper than phones like the S3 or One S yet surpassing them in so many ways Sony really deserves an award for making such a great device. I've had mine for about a week and so far I didn't encounter any gliches/build problems whatsoever. Moreover Sony's GB skin includes so many of ICS' features that I don't even miss it that much, and it should get ICS very soon so I don't consider the software as a problem.
