Good: Size, screen, camera, feel, battery, ok, everything including make phone calls
Bad: Nothing so far
Comment: Thank you Sony for making a brilliant phone that's also a great camera and decent android device.
I just picked up phone more than one year after its release and I am not disappointed. First it is a great phone, I can hear and be heard better than my 2 real phones, and I seem to have stronger reception. I cannot say the same for any friends with iPhones, HTC and others.
While I am sure some people love carrying around bricks in their pocket, I gave up on this idea in the 1990's. The phone is a perfect size, the screen is super sharp and responsive. No issues to view web pages with a little scrolling. Guess what, you still have to scroll on a 4inch+ screen as well. The battery lasts 2 days with WIFI on, moderate web surfing and a few calls.
And damn it, this phone looks sexy, is nice to hold and use comfortably in 1 hand.
Sony, please make more of these fully spec'd sub-4inch phones. None of the 2012 models seem to come close.
CNET, how about writing a review which doesn't compare every phone to the iPhone 5 or G3 or Note etc? If you are shopping for a Mini do you compare it to a Range Rover?

Comment: The camera is good for a phone of its size, although it feels wasted considering it's tiny profile and lack of a dedicated shutter button means you have to hold it in an awkward position to take a picture. The phone is however, a scratch magnet, within half a month of owning one, it had at least 50x the scratches that my Nokia C6-01 has, granted the Nokia has Gorilla glass, but it has just 3 scratches, and I am not exaggerating, I honestly think there could be 100 - 200 scratches on it. I'm not going to complain about screen size, because you know what you get when you buy it, but the bezel is thick, and it cramped by the Sony Ericsson and Xperia branding. The screen could have easily been much bigger with the profile remaining the same. This phone will last about as long as any other Sony Ericsson, and coming with someone who has had 4, all with manufacturing faults, I'd say you'd be lucky to get any more than 8 months out of this abomination.

Good: Absolutely Everything!
Bad: So far, nothing.
Comment: I had never heard of the Xperia Ray until today. I brought mine second hand from a well known pawn shop, but judging by the date on the stickers of the person who previously owned it it it really was not that old when he sold it. I've owned Iphone 3gs's and had three of them go wrong on me within the first month so i have been put off when it comes to the smart phone market (iv also owned a samsung galaxy mini and an HTC explorer), but i thought i'd give it one more go and was looking to buy an Xperia Mini Pro, the one with the HD camera. But i saw the xperia Ray sitting in the window and after having a quick look at it i decided it was the phone for me. So far i've downloaded all the games i used to have on my iphone ,the HTC and Samsung Galaxy were not capable to play those games, and i was half expecting the same with the Ray but i was pleasantly surprised when they all worked. I have had the phone for mere hours and so far i have no complaints at all. Even with the screen size, which to be fair you can see before you buy so its not like you get it home then find out its too small, unless you're stupid then the screen size shouldnt really be too much of a surprise. I shal update this review as i get to know a few more of the phones features, but so far im sitting here thinking its the best phone i have owned in a long time, if not ever!

Good: The design is very good. Small, slim and clean. Screen is very bright even in extreme sunlight. Camera is very good in daylight. Cheap, well made, quite quick for its price.
Bad: In portrait mode the touchscreen keyboard is very small. The camera in nighttime is unusable and there is no flash option only a constant light option which works only for close-ups.
Comment: Android 4.0 should be implemented by Sony in end of april for the Xperia ray. ( Source

Good: Camera & Striking Model
Bad: Photolight
Comment: All the features are impressive except that photo light when taking photographs in dim light or in night stage, while we was touching the button the flash should come but here it was continuously lighting.i think it was not good.if there is any software or application for making that photolight for flash while taking pictures please inform me.Thank you
