Good: ANDROIDE

Bad: cant call cant be called (* no communicatio)

Comment: My phone is rejecting all sim cards I put in it. I cannot call, I cannot call no sms or anycommunication. It shows a yellow triangle. It says there is no nettwork!

Good: ANT+ Compatible.

Bad: Weak battery life

Comment: Being waterproof and very robust, this smartphone is perfect for helping me keep track of my activities. Best thing about it, it's totally compatible with all the sensors I previously used and a complete bargain for £140.

Good: It's size is brilliant for anyone who needs a pocketable phone, to use while at work, especially if like me your job is physical.

Bad: Sony have apparently embedded application that slow it down and drain the battery.

Comment: I have been impressed with this phone since I have been using it. I previously had a Nokia N73 and 5800, both of which were compact but prone to unlocking and taking on minds of their own at my expense. There is so much more control of the operating system on this phone, only marred by some of the applications Sony have used to "personalize" the phone for the sector they hope to sell it to.

Good: Environmental security, physical format and speed

Bad: Need to use predictive typing in QWERTY, need to upgrade battery to 1550 mAh (exists)

Comment: I went for the Xperia Active (St17i), but only after extreme scrutiny. After a few weeks of use, I feel confident I did the right thing. Screen resolution is limited to 320x480. This initially made waver a bit. Once I had the phone started up though, I couldn´t have cared less - it looks a sparkle. Battery performance is just sufficient - with battery conservation software on at all times I get 1-2 days depending of use. There´s a battery upgrade option (1550 mAh), and although I haven´t ordered one myself yet, I most certainly will. If you know you will be spending time out of doors for days or more, you simply must consider bringing along spare batteries or a pocketable solar charging device. These, as far as I´m aware of, will need to be exposed to daylight for 6-10 hours prior to charging your phone. There are some cheap ones to be had. In case of need, you´ll probably want to digest some reviews before picking one. Given my demands (foul weather proofing, compactness, longevity, I really can´t think of another phone I would trade it for, no.

Good: Water resistant - my first smart phone and enjoying the Android OS - Bravia screen - easy to use....Great speakerphone and noise dampening option too.Love Sony's designs. very lite weight...Enjoy the wifi feature without having to use airitme when at home or office. I'm very happy with the device.

Bad: 3g, but nothing to really complain about - I have At&T - wifi takes care of the slow spots very easily.

Good: The fact that it has 720p recording

Bad: the pictures and the low screen resolution

Comment: It seems like a worthy contender of the HTC Wildfire S, especially considering it has 720p recording, but the fact that it's priced at £250 isn't justifiable

Not for me
