Good: Excellent MP3 Quality, A Amazing Camera, Mp3 and Camera Both In One Amazing Handset. Includes 3.5MM Headphone jack for AMAZING quality. Includes superfast Wi-Fi. Has Face Detection. Image Stabilizier. GeoTagging. Walkman 4.0 Player. 370Hours Stand-By
Bad: The Same Old BORING Sony Ericsson User Interface (UI). Could've Used More Colours (16M instead of 262k). OLED Screen instead of the TFT screen. More internal Memory(118MB to 1GB Min) Get rid of the M2 Memory Cards, Replace them with microSD for more storage.
Comment: Amazing mp3 quality. Above average camera. Probaly one of the best mobile phones out there, and probaly sony ericssons top 5 phone. But i find the user interface a bit boring, it the same old menu, again. The UI has no flaws, infact, its probaly the best UI out there on the market. However,Other manufacturers such as LG, and Samsung have moved on By introducing the S-Class Interface for the LG, and the New TouchWiz interface, HTC have there Sense UI and their Touch FLO3D.
Sure, its not a touchscreen phone but i think Sony Ericsson need a new UI to make there phones a little more interesting. They will be losing customers if they dont keep up to date with their competition. Once you've had one sony ericsson, you've had them all. The same menu has been in ALL of their phones. The satio has a interesting UI however.
They also should've used 16M colours, OLED Screen, to beat the LG Cyrstal, with its 16M colours, and it should also be able to come on the same level as Samsungs AMOLED screen.
262K Colours doesn't seem like enough against the competition, in the same price bracket.
The kickstand they included on the phone isn't the best. Infact, its rather unstable when you use it.
They could've increased the Internal Memory, Sony Ericssons for this price level should have atleast 1GB of memory built in.
For the same price you can get a LG Arena with 8GB storage built in, and still expand it to 40GB of storage
The video camera's not up to scratch, they could've done more work on that Defiently.
Sony Ericsson also need to start using microSD cards, instead of the M2 cards they currently supply.
No matter all of the bad reasons above, they are only minor, but can make the phone a WHOLE lot better. Sure, 16M screen instead of 262K screen is nit-picking, and M2 cards arn't all that bad, infact, it gives Sony Ericsson phones a unique appeal to them.
The only MAJOR concern i have listed is the Video Camera capabilities, other things you wont really notice the different at all.
Otherwise, all the features are up to perfection.
AMAZING camera with a AMAZING quality MP3 player. You wont need a mp3 player if you get this phone.
i highly recommend the phone. All the things i dont like about it is just nit-picking. It would be better if it had these, but you wont notice the difference.
Only bad thing about it, the video camera.
The good old sony ericsson UI is still there, the most reliable UI ever.
If you dont like the UI, well then get a theme, there all over the internet. A different UI is welcomed, but the basic UI is the best UI out there on the market.
This phone is definetly up there in the top ten of this year. Nothing can really compare to the amazing phone, and i 100% recommend this truly fabulous phone to you.
You wont regret it...

Good: All the media buttons, HEADPHONE PLUG!, range of features, browser, wifi
Bad: meadia browsing slows down when music is playing and media browsing in general is a bit slow with 8GB of media
Comment: First of all, the rating of 4 given by the other reviewer is completely unjustified. The phone is very standard sized and is actually amazing given the amount of technology packed in it.
Second of all, I agree with almost everything that the Cnet reviewer said. One point (which I have emailed her about) is that THE ATTACHABLE SPEAKERS DO NOT FALL OVER! She forgot to attach the cap of the speaker to the rear so that it is stable (this is understandable if you have the speaker). The speaker did not work with my previous SE phone (only 1.5 years old).
Wifi and the browser are particularly great. Although the browser is not quite as fast as, say, the iPhone's it is vastly updated from previous SE phones. There is actually a cursor that is controlled with the D-pad.
It comes with several surprisingly great games including a Guitar Hero clone, a puzzle game, an arcade game, a football game, a racing game, bowling and a free running game.
GPS takes really long to connect if you are not outside, which is fair enough. They do warn you about that.
I really like all the separate buttons for the media player. They give really easy control.
Themes on the phone are a joy! There are 3 that are similar in design but have different colour pallets. The wallpaper (that is, the background when there are no menus or applications open) has a fantastic, random design of circles and lines. When you start the music player going it changes design and has song info scrolling across it.
The only main negative is with media browsing. As the photos that are taken are quite large in file size is lags when flicking through them. It is much quicker in the "view 12 at a time" mode. Video browsing is a chore. Music browsing is not as bad. The actual music organisation is wonderful. It has sorting of what you would expect (artist, album, genre, year) and also has good on-the-go playlist creation and SensMe which is, I admit, a bit gimmicky but it does its job well. It lets you create a playlist based on the tempo and mood of the song.
Oh, and the included 8GB memory stick is handy. And the brushed steel case is great.
Camera: Fantastic quality EXCEPT when the subject or camera are moving at all quickly. There is a sports mode which helps, though. There is image stabilising for hand wobbles and the flash is very bright.
The stand on the back is stable but I tend to watch movies in bed while holding it.
You may have seen the ads on TV where is says that you can download free movies to watch on it. This is true. The movies are not blockbusters, however. They tend to be more obscure, but that does not at all mean bad! I watched several that are highly entertaining and informative that I would never have known about if it were not for SE's download service.
There are many other great features but these are the main things. Also, I got my phone from Orange so some things, like the games, may be slightly different when purchased from other places.
Very, very, very highly recommended!!

Good: Big display
Bad: Huge! Big piece of brick! Prop looks stupid
