Good: Camera, walkman and phone clarity

Bad: Silly ring tones

Comment: I use my phone principally for business, commuting by train is boring, but with the 512MB memory card, a few good podcasts of my favourite speech radio programs interspersed with mega-bass rock and the excellent supplied earphones cause the 1 hour journey to fly past. The quad band phone is excellent quality, good on battery time too. Bluetooth is very good for data transfer to my PC. I'm not into phone games but the texas flying game is utterly absorbing....
The camera is absolutely stunning for a freebie in the phone, easy to use and the quality is very, very good for a camera phone, some shots I have taken were good enough quality to have as wallpaper on my PC
The PC software is a bit clunky and lacks finesse for music/podcast transfer and won't take iTunes purchased format, otherwise, it was a good buy

Good: Most of it.

Bad: Walkman.

Comment: I have owned the W810i for a week. While it is generally an excellent phone I am going to return it due to the poor quality of the Walkman.

There is hiss and digital artefacts / distortion. This is particularly noticeable at non-loud volumes (below 50% volume), for quieter music and at the end of most tracks. The problem appears to be a continuation of the problem present in the model it's replacing - the W800i.

If it wasn't for the problem with the Walkman, I would give this phone a rating of 9.
There are other problems such as build quality - it feels somewhat creaky, and relatively minor bugs such as the light flashing when it shouldn't.
