Good: General Design but particularly the Camera.
Bad: Only the keypad, allowing for the age of the product.
Comment: Wonderful camera.
One of the best of the pre-touchscreen phones.
An upgrade with a mixture of touchscreen and traditional interface would be perfect.
But it does need a better more solid keypad!

Good: The camera, Walkman style player, battery
Bad: Kept dropping calls randomly, crashed after a year or so and video quality
Comment: First of all I used to have this phone before I upgraded to the HTC Desire which I also reviewed. Once I'd had it for a year or so, it started to crash and drop phone calls unannounced and randomly. I liked how long the battery lasted even with heavy usage. Obviously the camera taking stills was the phone's strong point. It would take monster images so easily and it also was laid out like a camera plus it had a xenon flash which was is the best of the bunch. However the video quality wasn't so impressive. Although the camera is 8.1MP, the video resolution is only 240p. My current phone camera is 5MP and 720p HD video...

Good: Camera obviously
Bad: Build quality, software
Comment: The phone worked flawlessly for about three months, excellent camera, user friendly etc. But after this the problems started, the phone began to freeze and the buttons stopped working, sent it back to be fixed, when I got it back it began to switch off by itself, so it was returned again. And then after about 15 months the camera stopped working, which really defeats the purpose of a camera phone. This was the start of a downward spiral of faults until I got an upgrade. When you spend over £500 on a phone you expect it to last. I really wanted to like this phone, and the initial signs were so promising, a real pity

Good: decent camera, nice build quality
Bad: as a phone it is a phone.
Comment: i am the user of a panasonic tz6 camera, and what bugs me about professional reviews like this one is when the reviewer rates a ''mobile phone'' extremely high based almost solely on its camera abilities.
...i mean hold on one moment is this a mobile phone or is it a camera because as a camera its pretty average compared to any real camera of fair quality and as a mobile phone again its good and does the job.
my point being should this phone be rated so high based on the camera? i dont think so personally because its a little misleading to how the product actually works as a mobile phone. the design is uninspiring, the build is solid but again being fully plastic any solid drop will make its mark and in my case crack the casing at the bottom. but in the hand it is fairly solid and nicely made.
its a good mobile phone dont get me wrong just dont be mislead by the review raving about the camera, it will not replace a fully fledged digital camera or SLR so dont believe the hype... although as a camera on a mobile phone it is very good, but ask yourself this, do you buy a mobile phone for sole use of the camera?? if yes go ahead and purchase if no then there are much more interesting phones out there, more eye catching, more user friendly, more inspiring and better mobile phones.

Good: camera's quite decent
Bad: keypad, software
Comment: Not overly impressed with this product, had 3 replacements all due to the top speaker being faulty and the keypad is uncomfortable to use.

Good: The camera, good quality music player the storage of media
Bad: the media storage, the CONTSTANT problems
Comment: As far as Sony Ericsson goes im a fan, since i swapped from Nokia over three years ago is been SE all the way, i love the lay out and the menu options and the fact you have so much choice with ring tone, message tones etc u can set almost anything which is alot more than many others will do so in many ways SE have spoilt me i now refuse to use anything else on this premise.
However. . . . . a fundemental flaw with the C905 that is simply inexcusable. . . the earpiece it is aparantly a "common" fault with the C905 basicly this "common fault" leaves you unable to hold a phone call unless using speaker phone. . . not very convenient for a private phone call. So far i have had to have THIS fault repaired twice
The other fault is simply that random buttons stop working. . . fantastic first it was my 4 button luckily within a few day of having it and it got completly replaced.
Now the down button which has supposedly been repaired now . . however i have now ahd to have this fixed so many times that next time it goes wrong they have assured me they will swap my phone for a better one of my choosing!
Overall i like the phone itself The media storage is inovative and quite cool, however does become a pain if you want to edit things or view several at a time, but not a huge issue, camera is good, not 8mp quality good and tbh id be just as happy with my 3.2 mp camera back as th improvement in quality is not huge enough to base buying this phone on.
and while i love SE and will probably buy again i would steer well clear of this product the earpeice fault is not a small fault you can overlook. . . personally im looking to downgrade to never failing SE K800i . . . a mich better phone.

Good: Great pictures, and GPS is good too
Bad: had it 6 months and it is in the repair shop again, a bit unreliable.
Comment: I have never had such a problem with a mobile in my 11 years of owning them. I am a bit dissapointed, and have heard others say this too, it is great phone but the unrealability sinks it big time!!

Good: Easy to use, great camera
Bad: repeated faults on speaker
Comment: Couldnt wait to try out my new camera on this phone. It was great! After only 1 week my phone speaker went so had the hand set replaced. Ok, it happens! My other half also got the same phone, same time as I did. Low and behold his speaker went too. He had his handset replaced. Now my internal speaker/sound has gone. Gonna have to send it off again for repair or replacement. Hubbys speaker is faulty also, vibrates and cuts out sound when talking on the phone. Would recommend anyone who gets this handset to take out insurance! Not amused at all with this aspect of the phone and cannot believe WE are the only ones unlucky enough to experience this flaw.
