Good: Nothing!
Bad: Everything!
Comment: Its slow, full of bugs and after a year the internal mic broke which meant I could not use it as a phone without using earphones!! And even then, only one ear bud was functional!
Loading pages on the internet was slow and using the cursor when browsing and clicking on links was painful.
STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS! I'm never going back to Samsung again.

Good: Fast UI and great camera.
Bad: Has no app store.
Comment: Has a great camera, the screen is fiddly and not very smooth to operate, it is expensive on contract.

Good: Screen quality, Camerra, Find music feature works well, Divx support,Video playback
Bad: Useless widgets, Cheap shutter button quality, its trying to be somethin its not, Gps
Comment: First lets get thigs right, this is not a symbian smart phone, it uses Samsungs own touchwiz interface. It has basic multitasking but thats it, it relys on java applications. How could Cnet get this wrong??
Y would u bother with a buggy pc suite to transfer media to and from the phone on a PC when this phone supports mass storage mode???
Camera is really good, Screen is georgeous and it looks good, the Divx works very well, . But it has too much flimflam and i prefer my 5800 because its a more honest phone. This will impress at first then once the novelty wears it will annoy you, though only slighltly.
Oh, and its a bit of a pain to text with. the keypad is not very responsive.

Good: Display
Bad: Everything Else
Comment: I sold my iphone 3gs around to weeks ago in anticipation for the Iphone 4 as i knew i would get more money for it while it was still the best iphone you could get.
To get me by i bought the Samsung S800 (jet) due to remembeing the great adverts on tv i had seen about this phone.
It does what a phone should do but not what the marketing said it would do. It is a slow phone with a fast processor...i dont know how this is possible but they have managed it.
just plain and simply if you get it cheap like say less than £100 then good buy but thats it it should have always been a budget phone.

Good: screen and camera
Bad: battery, unstable software, phone restarts by itself, not fast as expected.
Comment: After using the Samsung Jet for one month, here is exactly what I get:
THE GOOD: very good screen resolution and colors, but only in the shade.
THE BAD: extremely weak battery life. Half a day with average usage. The phone EATS the battery in a very high rate. This is a major problem.
Screen not visible in sunshine.
Phone restarts by its self, this happens during using its menus. I have tried 2 phones same result.
Touch screen is not sensitive and phonebook freezes in the first 2 or 3 touch trials then responds easy. Very annoying. (don’t even think of comparison with iphone).
Extremely weak GPS, almost useless. Also you have to pay to use Route 66 GPS navigator.
Operating software in unstable and hesitating.
No light color theme, all very are in dark background.
Browser does not re-arrange pages after enlarging. Very difficult to read pages after enlarging. Rendering problem.
I did not succeed in opening a single flash file.
Power point files are not supported.
It is not quick as expected, even with the 800mhz processor on board. It is even more slow than fast.
The NEW PCSTUDIO will not be installed on your computer if you are using Win7.
A Final word, this phone is not reliable, too much advertisement but reality is totally different. Smarter than a smart phone, is a big lie. Samsung should not use fake advertisement.

Good: Good looking
Bad: Limited OS
Comment: My poor view of the Jet (in my previous review) has just gone down. Google has just launched Sat Nav for Android enabled phones. But of course the Jet has it.s own system, Touchwiz. So not only can't you get Sat Nav, there are very few other "widgets" available for the Jet. People like EBay and Amazon understandably don't bother producing and marketing them.

Good: Good looking
Bad: Unresponsive touch screen, difficult to see in sunlight, poor user manual, cumbersome WiFi
Comment: The Jet is a good looking phone with, at first sight, an impressive list of features. The problem comes when you get it out of the box and try to use them.
I had hoped that I would have easy access to the web and my e-mails on the go. Setting this up is unnecessarily complicated. It is even more difficult to get a decent connection to WiFi (my home network or public ones). After much frustration I have managed to set these up (not helped by a total lack of information in the user manual).
The next frustration is the screen. First it is almost impossible to see it outdoors unless you are in deep shade. Second the "touch" screen is highly unresponsive. This is particularly frustrating when accessing the web and trying to zoom in to a section (or Google Maps) or input user names, passwords etc. Third the screen scratches extremely easily. Yes the phone comes with a protective pouch, but it is almost impossible to get it out of your pocket and answer a call when it is in it.
When I compare the Jet with my daughter's first generation I-Phone it is like comparing 1970's Lada with a Ferrari: pretty, but also pretty useless.
I know what I will go for next time I upgrade.

Good: Fast and resposive, and the touchscreen is, in my opinion, just as responsive
Bad: I had no real problems, but if you expect a smartphone, you will be dissapointed

Good: Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, Browser, Touch screen
Bad: Hard to remove back, weak vibration, camera can crash
Comment: Hi, I bought this phone last Novemeber. I wanted to make sure I tested it well before writing my review. I think the phone is good for the price you pay. It has Wifi and GPS which is something you don't normally get on phones this cheap.
I've listed some good and bad points about the Samsung Jet to help you decide whether it's the phone for you:
--Good Points--
* Easy to switch on/off bluetooth and wifi (via widgets)
* Camera autofocuses and takes nice photos, also has a flash
* It's a nice size, not as big as other smart phones like iPhone
* Has a standard earphone jack to fit most earphones
* The back of the phone looks awesome with the red stripes
* The phone can run multiple apps at the same time
* There are useful widgets such as facebook, youtube etc
* It is easy to upload a new photo to facebook, picasa, etc
* When typing a text message, you can turn the phone landscape to get a full keyboard.
* Plenty more good points, but will take ages to list them all
--Bad Points--
* When using the camera, if you try and lock the phone without first exiting the camera app, the phone freezes, and the only thing that unfreezes it is to remove the battery or get someone to phone you. If you don't do either of these things, you can wait a minute or two before it unfreezes
* The vibration is very weak. I normally keep my phone in my pocket, and put it on vibrate with no sound. But i find that i don't feel the vibrate, so have to use sound now.
