Good: Camera & Video Quality. Solid build quality.

Bad: Large. Slow camera action. Not easy to use & protect as a phone.

Comment: It is an amazing feat of engineering and Samsung have built a quality phone, of which there is no doubt.

I primarily bought it as I wanted a decent camera phone and diary so I have found myself disappointed with the speed of the camera as there is a delay of about 15-20 seconds between taking each photo which is really frustrating if the first shot wasn't quite right !

The touchscreen generally works well and the querty keyboard also works well most of the time with the occasional mis-key mainly by me I'm sure. There are one or two frustrating aspects with the way some of the menus work as their operation can initiate another phone function but I guess with time you would work out a way around that.

As the phone is so expensive I wanted to protect the screen and body so I bought a leather case which means each time I make a call I have a large leather covering flap of leather swinging close to my ear/back of the head which is a irritating on mid to long phone calls.

I find myself marveling at the incredible job Samsung has done but questioning how practical it is for me personally in every day use and I've found that I haven't used hardly any of the included functions.

For those of you who want/need all the functions I don't think you'll be disappointed, unless like me you wanted a fast second camera.

"Nokia" - Take note ! Your N-series phones feel cheap and plasticky.

Be marveled at what Samsung has done-this is in a different league.

Good: Camera, Video (rec & playback), Web (opera mobile), ovi store, screen

Bad: orange firmware, this HAD to be removed.

Comment: I did have to personalise this phone to my liking but now i have its the best phone out there!

Things i did were to remove the orange firmware and install the latest italian firmware, used Hello0X2 so i could install more s60v5 apps, also got my i8910 to work with the Ovi Store which allows me to get loads of free apps.

Camera/Video is one of the best out there, lots of settings to play with. Sound quality from video recording has been improved since firmware update.

Music player is great, latest firmware lets me use the 5.1 on the built in stereo speakers. Sound quality is brilliant from both speakers and earphones.

Touchscreen sensitivity is the best i have used, pictures & videos look amazing on the huge amoled screen.

New firmware has made the phone very stable, can handle running mutiple apps without any glitches.

I never had any issues with the standard symbian browser, but i did install opera mobile 10 and it is simply amazing.

Build quality is great i have not noticed any rattles/creeks, all buttons have a solid feel.

3D task manager is also a welcome improvement since updating the firmware, this shows all running programs.

Connectivity is brilliant, using the wifi with opera mobile browsing is just as good as my laptop! 3G also works very well. GPS is extremely fast picking up my location and works great with google maps and Amaze sat nav software.

The iphone does not come close to matching this phone the only thing the iphone wins on is the number of apps available, but ovi store does have lots to offer also.

Good: Amazing screen, superb camera, very easy to use.

Bad: Can't think of anything really.

Comment: I bought this phone after reading lots of positive reviews, but slightly reluctantly getting rid of my old faithful N95 8GB. I shouldn't have worried, this Samsung is absolutely amazing. Ok, it took a little getting used to after the Nokia, but after a few days I was using it like I'd owned it for months. The first thing I did was to de-brand it (very easy) to strip out the heavy, power sapping Orange software which made it even quicker and more responsive.
I LOVE it, thank you Samsung!

Good: responive touch interface, fantastic feature filled camera, super sharp stunning screen.Great sat nav

Bad: audio quality of video.

Comment: After departing with my nokia 95 8gig. I must admit I have been blown away by this phone. I touch interface is responisive. It is all finger touch so no need to mess around with a stylus. It is so easy to write text messages with the querty key board. (I too thought cnet were being really harsh on ther reiview with lack of predictive text on this mode.) The screen is so clear and sharp. It's great for watching BBC iplayer.

I was disapointed with the "sat nav" on my nokia 95. With built in GPS this blown it away. From my experience using my i8910 it takes aprox 5 seconds to get my location. Though I do have an unbranded version of the phone. I know orange firmware has really mucked around with alot of things.

Photos and taking videos are amazing. You have to remember it is primarliy a phone but it is one of the best camera phones I have used. I also rate the camera on the high end sony erricsson cybershot phone. the camera is backed full of different effects. Taking panoramoic pictures has given me sme amazing results and is so easy to use. Taking video is grat too and has many different modes to choose from.

The phone has not been out for too long and I have found lots of quality applications and games I can use on it and more and more are available every day.

Great sound when listening to music and the music player is ver intuative.

This is a fantastic all round phone, no phone is perfect a few slight ajustments and it is almost there. The i8910 is a definate iphone killer.

Good: 8MP camera, video playback, internet speed and quality, general usability, intuitive music player

Bad: Annoying Orange firmware, no info on firmware updates, bit of a pain finding good apps.

Comment: CNet has been a little unfair in it's review of this phone, complaining about lack of predictive texting on QWERTY keyboard is pathetic.. who cares.. if it had been included you have complained too... Likewise applications are not difficult to install, get over yourselves..

Pros:

I find the usability fantastic.. i don't use the samsung widgets, i have customised the homepage to have 4 shortcuts, all i need.. and i love the fact that you can organise the menu and have whatever icon wherever you want..

i don't want to have live icons as it means lots of data being used up when i'm not even looking at the phone.. Lets not get carried away, it's not going to kill you to load an application like Shozu up for 30 seconds to get an update of facebook and twitter, is it!?

The camera is amazing and so is video recording (great fun recording in fast forward and slow motion modes). Video playback is just fantastic on the screen, great quality, and the music player is intuitive and really good quality sound.. internet is smooth and fast, especially on Wi-fi, scroliing is very easy and pretty swish. transferring files is really easy, and although Orange have blocked direct uploading to facebook and youtube, Shozu allows you to do that really easily.

Cons:

Applications, or at least finding out where to get them and whether they are compatible with Symbian V5.. I think that as good as the Iphone having so many apps is, when you actually look on itunes the vast majority are a waste of time.. i have shazam, BBC Iplayer (which works perfectly; quality is amazing), Shozu, google maps, accuweather, london and tokyo tube maps, Y-browser and last FM.. and can't think of too many others that would really enhance my life.. but it would be good if Samsung did something about this. The other issue is the sound quality when recording video, it's terrible, but Samsung have saud they are working on it and it should hopefully be fixed with firmware updates (though why they didn't get it right before they released it i don't know, it's so crucial to promoting the HD video recording).

Both samsung and Orange have done little to really promote the features of this phone. I have no idea why, other than they knew it wasn't quite ready when it was released. Metal case would have been nice as well for such a high end phone..

Get this phone but wait a bit for the price to come down and Samsung to get their act together.. it's a phenomenal phone and i think much better than anything else, including the iphone.

Good: Screen (touch and display), Camera, Standard Apps, Symbian S60, 3.5mm jack I could go on

Bad: Lack of Support so far, basic manual, attracs fingerprints, no predictive on qwerty, no live info on Widgets.

Comment: After owning a whole host of phones from basic Ericssons to Windows mobiles to previous Nokia N series phones over the past 12 years I can honestly say this is by far the best phone I have ever had.

I was looking for an all rounder so I have to carry only 1 device (no need for MP3, MP4, Phone and Camera anymore) and I've found it.
The Screen is superb (got my mates with iphones jealous) and responsive to touch, writing messages is as easy as my old Touch Pro with slider keyboard, it displays images and video's breathtakingly for a phone.

The camera perfoms beyond what a phone should, I have been to see Oasis this weekend and the pictures and Video came out clear as a bell on my 40" plasma (via DNLA may I add).
Sound quality is superb from both the FM radio and Music player.
GPS works a treat, found my way around Manchester fine having never been there before.

Basically Samsung have done the right thing and listened to what consumers want and hit the nail firmly on the head with this device.

The Device itself is spot on and the only critacisms I have is the user manual which is poor for such a feature packed phone, the lack of support currently when every other phone manufacturer is pushing this and the widgets being the same as any normal phone just being shortcuts rather than having live info (although I do like having 3 seperate widget screens) broadcast over them like the N97 (hint hint developers).

I'm sure these issues will be resolved as time goes on but if Samsung continue to evolve on this Apple be very afraid having 10 mins with the i8910 mates with iPhones are being converted.
