Good: nothing !!

Bad: everything !!

Comment: i can say that without doubt, this is the worst phone i have owned since i first started using mobile's ! i am so dissappointed with this Samsung. I had to send the first phone i received back after 3 day's due to the camera taking terrible, blurred and distorted picture's. The camera on this phone was the only reason i opted for this model, i wish i had have gone for something different now !! The one i have now also takes very poor quality pic's, the Nokia N95 8GB which i had before this phone was far superior and to make matter's worse, i have an 18 month contract with 3 mobile and because they have replaced the first phone for me, with the same model, they now tell me i am stuck with this piece of rubbish until my contract end's!!! Not only that, the paint on the exterior of the phone, or whatever it is, is chipping off in big piece's, i kid you not !
I read some good review's about this phone before i chose it, but in my experience, it is an absolute nightmare of a phone!! ALSO ,,, i don't no whether this is another problem with this phone, but i travelled all around the country in my work and have terrible reception wherever i go, again with my Nokia N95GB i never had this problem.
All in all, i HATE this phone and can only advise you against ever even thinking about buying it !!

Good: photocamere is really excellent

Bad: SLOWLY WORKING GARMIN !

Comment: why so SLOWLY WORKING GARMIN ?
(in comparison with Nokia N95)

car navigation is critical for many people,
some actions on the way can make delay for tens of seconds for one action or minutes on big picture...

DISGRACE!!! Lead must not loose so much on most serious application.

how to correct this?
may be in next firmware?
_______________

photo camera is really excellent
(what is important for me)

gallery is not nice not fast = not pleasant to use.

external sound not so loud,
not true stereo as nokia n95.

internal speaker sound is jingling when high tone is spoken.

Good: Shear number of features that work! 3months and no problems

Bad: Tiny interface issues that could be improved to make a perfect device

Comment: After using the i8510 for a while now i have had no problems at all. When i thought it didnt have a feature, a little more looking around and i found it with a well thought out design - just no full user manual which makes it a little slower. I never thought i would be using most of the features on such a high end device but have used everything, almost daily. The pictures are absolutely superb for a phone, wifi connects perfectly & ive used the gps all over South Africa on holiday and it was better than my UK car sat nav!

Battery life is about two days, which considering it does a far better job than my laptop that lasts 2hours..its fairly impressive.

The best phone i have owned, and not so common place as the iphone.

Really recommended.

Good: 8MP camera, awesome feature set, s60 OS

Bad: No DIY firmware updates like nokia- solution on the way(?)

Comment: This is the most advanced symbian s60 phone out there. Love the camera, on par with average point and shoots which is extraordinary for a mobile phone. The size is arguably big but not an issue for me.. Firmware updates will only improve on this otherwise flawless mobile, the best yet...

Good: feel

Bad: bad memory management

Comment: Having first review it as excellent I have the greatest regret of not using it longer before talking. The phone thought look good failed to perform. Frequent memory lost , even the phone book entries could not be found. The image and video software crash 9 times out of 10. And worst is the phone could not return to general profile once it being disconnected from Bluetooth earpiece and being in connection for more then 30 mins. It will remain in silent mode and sometime it will go into offline. How to use this phone? I have send it back to Samsung, they could not do anything about it so I was given a new set and lost all my purchase software which is registered with the original set imei number. And of course the new set have the same problem. I have since thrown the costly but good looking phone in my drawer and return to my trusted old N95 8Gb and just realised that it was such a good phone. Buyer please beware.
