Comment: As of the days of color screens, they have consistet of 3 colors pr pixel. The samsung only has has 2 colors pr pixel, which means that pixels must "borrow" from each other to create the same image. Resulting in a less sharp screen. This means that even though the resolution is 1280x720, you could devide this my 1/3, so 854x480.
Also, when answering a phoonecall outside in sunlight, this will result in a black screen, because the screenlight is made on phonecall. meaning when the phone is in your pocket, meaning that you can't see who's calling.. fail
Good: screen size, quick, not boring
Bad: no 4.2 yet (but that is being picky)
Comment: This cNet review needs updating as this phone comes with jelly bean now and adds a lot of improvements to TouchWiz and Other stuff on the phone
I was never a great fan of touchwiz but this is the first samsung where I did not touch the launcher as i like how touchwiz feels and looks.
the phone does not feel plasticy and even for those who do still think it does there are battery covers made out of aluminium that sort out that problem with ease.
Bad: screen is dull- really hard to read outdoors
Comment: I wanted to get this phone- I read on here how good it was. I went and looked at it in the shop today, comparing it to my iphone 4. The sharpness and clarity of text on the S3 is really is really poor in comparison (person in the shop tried turning up the brightness but it was already on full). He showed me it at the shop entrance and in the sunlight the S3 was hard to read. I wanted a bigger phone than the iphone but this isn't it. The person said that the iphone's got the best screen. So a bit stuck now. Really disappointed:(
Comment: i'm lucky enough to have Samsung Galaxy S3... and i'll rate this phone 4.5/5.. only because there are some bettrey issues...
Good: plastic, like a childs toy
Comment: POOR build quality, avoid
Good: Super fast, good battery, large screen, thin,
Bad: None as of yet
Comment: I’ve owned this phone since launch and I have to say it’s incredible.
I was pulled to getting an S3 after being a HTC fan, due to the way HTC went with the One X. No SD card slot and no removable battery...
The S3 is a super fast, slick phone. Don’t be put off by the size. Although a lot of people think this phone is too big, for me it was perfect. The screen is detailed and great for watching movies on and although the size might have comprehended the battery power, the phones battery lasts longer than my old HTC Desire HD.
Removable battery is a real bonus and the fact this phone has 16GB built in with the ability to add 64GB is outstanding. (Basic model)
I have to say for photography users this phone is absolutely brilliant. I’m very impressed with the detail in macro mode. It’s truly outstanding.
The ability to send files by placing phones back to back is a brilliant idea and sends any file very quickly, much quicker! And you can send any file unlike with iOS (iPhione).
Only quibble about this phone is the slight greenish/blue tint in the screen. But this is due to the way the screen is manufactured.
Out of every phone on the market this one and the iPhone 5 are the top performing phones. If you love Android go for this. You won’t be disappointed. If you love techy phones also go for this. But to be honest, even with the launch of the iPhone 5, this phone still stands at the top for the same features with the added bonus of removable battery, memory expandability, sending files via wifi and screen size.
It makes the iPhone really look restricted. But hardware wise the two are so close, with the S3 being better in my mind due to the issues above, plus the freedom the Android operating system gives you unlike iOS.
I would highly recommend this phone to anyone! It really is the king of the crop.
Good: Big, Bright and beautiful!
Bad: S-Voice is shockingly bad!
Comment: The perfect world in a box that lives in your pocket!
Good: The screen, speed, innovative features
Comment: The screen is perfect for me, not as big as a note just fits into the jeans pockets. Lots of innovative features, like smart calling using motion detection from message or contact screen. The phone is pretty fast for hardcore gaming.
Comment: Looks good, feels good!
