Good: Super Amoled, Expandable storage, Removable battery, Android 2.2, Flash.

Bad: Back cover, Samsung's TouchWiz interface, laggy file system.

Comment: Had this beauty for 2 months now, below is a list of issues and solutions:

Initial homescreen using TouchWiz is very slow : Installed ADW launcher = Very fast and nice skins

Pre-installed widgets are poor : Battery Solo widget, Dazzle widget = Fast and stylish UI

Laggy file system : TasKiller widget = A great non-root solution to the smallish RAM

Most live wallpapers are battery eaters : Canopy Live Wallpaper = Fast, low power and great looking

Plasticky back cover : After market case = Now it feels more solid and much easier to grip

Overall, an amazing device but hampered by Samsung's own setup.
Get tweaking and you'll have a fast and reliable Galaxy.
I may root it soon, but for now I'm more than happy.
Can't wait to download more goodies, just don't use Android Market's recommendations, search the web for top lists of Apps / Widgets.

Lastly, Google voice Translate, Gmote, Shazaam and of course Angry Birds make my life 1000% better.

Note : For those of you who complain, get some tech knowhow or buy an iToy. This is NOT for muppets.

Good: Screen resolution and size,

Bad: applications, slight learning curve, a bit sluggish

Comment: The galaxy S is a good option for people who are fustrated because of possibly, the iPhone 4's antenna issue. However, The OS is not as easy to use and there is a learning curve to it but the resolution, in my opinion, looks so much better than the iPhone 4's display

Good: I find the phone in general very good, excellent camera

Bad: I can't seem to end a call, does anybody else have the same problem, the end call comes up then disappears, has anybody got any ideas

Comment: The suggestion that we should wait until Samsung puts out a firmware update makes me laugh - they couldn't care less, as they have shown with their treatment of i8910 owners.

Good: I can make calls

Bad: Everything --

Comment: I was advised to get this phone when I visited a carphone warehouse. I hate this phone a lot. The battery life is very bad, it dies even though you don't use it for a whole day. They also did not tell me that it needed to be manually set-up. I made a mistake of taking out a year contract and can't wait for the year to be up, so that I can throw it away. I will never recommend this phone to anyone.

Good: The screen is BRILLIANT. Fast Processor.The interface is fantastic. Video/Music Player: Huge thumbs up!

Bad: Wi-Fi is weak and poor on reception.

Comment: I had been shopping around fo a while now to see which smartphone out there is suitable for me. I know iPhone as brother owns one and also my uncle and I simply did not want to become fashion victims just like them. I wanted a phone that had character, style and stood out and yet was not an iPhone. So I had a look at the HTCs out there. Had a look at Xperia and few others. But I must admit that when I saw Galaxy S, I fell in love with the phone. The huge screen is just awesome and its the first thing that makes you go WOW! But I didn't rush in falling in love immediately. I decided to examine the phone a bit. I am one for listening to music on the go and also watching videos at my convenience. So I had these tested as well and not only wasn't I disappointed, I had two more WOWs!! The fast processor (another WOW!) on board makes the video watching and rendering just a unique experience. The music sound quality is also great and its exactly what I was after in a phone. The apps are also good and do what you want from a smartphone. The huge, bright Super Amoled screen makes the phone stand out and is a pleasure to look at and work with. The camera integrated could've been stronger but this is not a let down as the 5.0 MegaPixel one on board does the job just fine. The weight of the phone is another huge positive point as it is quite light for a huge screened smartphone (1 more WOW!) and it feels quite good in terms of handling thanks to the curvey corners. I was after a photo editing tool but couldn't find one and felt let down by it as I quite enjoy messing around with such tools. One other thing that I felt let down by is the quality of the Wi-Fi and its signal strength. Its weak, low and poor and therefore causes problems with connectivity.

On the whole, I am extremely pleased with my purchase and feel that Samsung Galaxy S is one of the best android smartphones out there. And I know that with few upgrades here and there, the future versions will even be stronger. Even my brother who owns an iPhone 4, had a huge "WOW!" moment when he saw my Galaxy S. So well done Samsung, keep it up!

Good: Great Touch, Good size and has a good amount of different apps for the phone which is on the android market

Bad: Copied the I phone, Plastic plate scratches easily and shows loads of fingerprints!

Comment: I would love to purchase this phone for christmas and i have had many encounters with the phone although my brother has got it and i really did fall in love at first sight!

Good: itssamsung

Bad: pretty much everything, i had it for less than a month and it kept freezing, wasn't telling me when i had recieved messages, crashed alot. e-mail doesnt work, very poor internet signal, wifi is too slow......

Comment: i am now on my second phone and its just as bad, seems samsung just rushed this phone out without testing it, don't get it please its just slow and not as fast and efficent as advertised on tele etc

SUper AMoled rocks VEiwable iN bright sun light N HD video support n CAMera is awesome samsung apps can be neglected
FAR far better than Xperia
MOre options like this Are Desire HD or IPhone 4
