Good: very good phone with lots of features already built in to the phone that the iphone 4 hasn't, like the satnav, radio alarm clock, and the easy drop down menu
Bad: the batterey but its the same as the iphone 4
Comment: I have both the samsung Galaxy S and iphone 4, they are similer and both have really good things that the other doesnt, for example, the galaxy has the sat nav, radio, alarm clock etc already built in, oh and google search where with the iphone 4 you have to download them, But there are more apps on the iphone for you to customize your phone, yeas it has no flash BUT it's a brilliant camara and even when ive taken a photo of my children etc inside and with the curtains closed the photo has still been of excelant quality, a little bit better than the iphone 4, the drop down menu for you to access your new emails etc is a fantastic idea, i wish the iphone 4 had it to, yu can also connect to wifi, gps etc using the drop down menu which is so quick and easy unlike in the iphone 4 you have to go in to settings etc, Yes the batterey life isn't brilliant, BUT when you see how much the phone is doing its actually very good, better than a laptop or netbook as they only last a few hours and are doing the same amount of work, the batterey on the iphone 4 is worse not by much but the samsung galaxy s does last longer,
The design is very slick and the keypad to write your messages is larger than the iphone and as you can rotate it, if you are someone with fatter fingers this phone is the best of all the android and the keypad is better than the iphone 4, BUT the design of the phone is not as good as the iphone 4, and the apps on android are not as up to date as the apples apps But they are getting there, theres just a bit more choice in the apple market, If you want to get an android phone, the SAMSUNG GALAXY S is easily the best, better than all the rest.
Good: the apps and the super amoled screen.
Bad: hasn'st got a flash and occasionally lags and the battery life..
Comment: it's great for an affordable smartphone..
Good: Very good
Comment: Excellent display
Good: Easy Set-Up - Apps - Screen
Comment: After using WinMo 6.1 this phone is a joy to use, easy and fast app downloading, the interface is smooth and connects and syncs so much easier to Windows 7 than my old Omnia.
After reading some reviews i was not expecting just how AWESOME this phone is.
The only problem i had was the dreaded "Starting Download" hang, after trying various fixes but ignoring the simplest i was about to call Samsung (use this geographical number 01932454358 - Standard land-line cost - to bypass the 084567267864 version) when i thought whats the harm in trying and removed the battery, turned back on and am now able to download hassle free from Market ! UNBELIEVABLE but it worked.
Good: Everything is good about it!
Bad: Don't want to put it down!
Comment: Husband got it for me for Val's day and oh, this phone is my new best friend! The feel of it in my hand is fantastic, the touch screen and immediate response to my touch is a dream. The way it handles, the apps, look, back lighting, vivid coloring - the seven screens. Off the top of my head, I can't think of everything, but I do know this - I am SOOOOO glad that he got me this instead of the iPhone, his son has the iPhone, I held it, messed around with it, but didn't feel any lightening bolts of "I WANT" - just didn't happen. My husband has the Samsung Galaxy Tab, and because he was so taken with it, so impressed, he went for the S.G.S phone for me, YES! I can see now, that I won't be wanting any other phone - this is it for me, I've found my fit! Thank you Samsung!
Good: Lightweight, loads of apps, large memory, depending on what user prefers - can use screen sideways or lengthways, in decent light only - camera can be excellent
Bad: Terrible battery life; extremely slow, never know whether I've pressed touchscreen buttons on front - very slow, no flash or light on camera
Comment: Battery life and how slow to open applications are the most annoying and biggest downside of this phone. I can use the phone to text or telephone only and the battery may last 8 hours if I'm lucky!!! The apps, ie Facebook are extremely slow to open and the same goes for openin the message and contacts tools.
Comment: This product is veryvery good
Good: Responsive,Great for the Internet Screen is brilliant and camera can take full HD videos!
Bad: Big Phone so need bigger pokets! Battery needs charging every day! No Flash!
Comment: I use my Galaxy S everyday listen to music regulary and use it to keep in contact with friends and family and keep updated with Facebook and Gmail.
I use it to record full HD videos and take photo's during daytime! I can watch full HD films on it!
I find there's plenty of apps available to download!
Good: Just about all of it
Bad: No flash on the camera - and needs ROM flashing
Comment: Its a great phone but need a ROM flash for its full potential. You can get instructions for that at many tech sites.
The hardware specs are intimidating and I was lucky enough to get a fantastic deal for one on Phone-Splat recently so was really pleased.
This or an iPhone? This, because it's cheaper and just as good.
