Good: It's great for texting, and is a good phone.

Bad: Sooooooo unreliable.

Comment: Very very sensitive phone, in 6 months, ive had 3, and it's been back to the repairs 6/7 times. A few problems:
sim card reader
camera
possible water damage, from a tiny bit of snow in my pocket
freezes
slow
does random things.

Good: very fast, multi-tasking, good keyboard

Bad: complicated navigation

Comment: this is a very sophisticated phone. Although not as easy to use as my previous E90 communicator, it is much quicker - particularly on websites and navigation. Getting from app to app can be a bit long-winded, but each one is at or near the top in its field - great browser, good camera (very good video by mobile standards), very good radio reception, good phone quality. I do not know what all the fuss is about regarding the touch-resistive screen, but then I am not an Apple fan. As to faults - a delete key would be useful on the otherwise pretty good keyboard; a file saving shortcut (e.g. 'ctr S') would help for Office apps; and a quicker way to switch from app to app would appeal. Overall, however, I have found this phone to be very reliable (one crash in 6 weeks so far), while the multi-tasking is a joy.

Bad: It's a great disappointment.

Comment: Had it for 5 mths, camera lens scratched, unable to charge or transfer data, the locking button shot in my face; we hate each other.

Good: look of the phone

Comment: I have always had a nokia and this is the last one for me. the only thing i can say about the phone is that its terrible. The software hangs all the time, the sound quality for the person you ring is awful with them picking up every second word. It changes the ring tones itself upon turning it on and off. The reception bar is like a graphic equaliser its up and down that much. I really think nokia should be embarrassed for letting a phone out with as many software faults as this phone has, and before you ask yes i have the latest version of firmware on it

Good: Combination of qwerty keyboard and touch screen

Bad: Does not apply

Comment: I've been using the N97 for around 3months now and its improved since the firmware V2 upgrade, the N97 has worked like a dream, no slow down nor freezing no memory problems, music player exellent, camera easy to use and have had no scratches on the lens, Viewing the pictures is very easy too. Theirs even a good range of apps most free and you can run more than one at the same time.
The Battery lasts around 3 to 4 days on average usage.
The QWERTY keyborad is very easy to use even tho i've got big fingers, and it has a very reassuring feel to the buttons.
The N97 is a good allrounder and i have been impresed with its preformance..

Good: responsive touchscreen compared to the HTC touch HD that i was using prviously.

Bad: hangs few times everyday, half the screen goes black.

Comment: i have had the N97 for two weeks. from the second day it started to hang, at times it would not even switch off and i would have to take off the battery. When i slide out the key board it wont switch from portrait to landscape and just go blank, then i would have to restart it. Then at times, half the screen would go blank. I have had the n95, e71 (a little less) and they all hang but the n97 hangs way too much. Well its such a pricey phone, nokia should have sorted out this problem before they released it. WHy should we sepend so much on a phone a go through these problems. No matter how many features a mobile has, first thing is, it should be reliable and not hang in the middle of something. I have been counting each day for it to release but now that i have it, it is utter disappointment.
