Good: That it is NOT a i phone
Bad: That it isn't out yet & i've not got one.
Comment: Can't wait to get this phone and have a play with it, cos it sounds so Good.
About time Nokia got back to how it used to be in the phone market!!!
Good: design, maps, camera and specs
Bad: it's not in shops earlier...
Comment: Nokia Lumia 920, come to be baby! You look the business and stand out with your design and functionality and specs. Beautiful.
Good: The Windows live tiles - enhanced and improved
Bad: Too early to say
Comment: I've been using the Lumia 800 for the past six weeks - and after a sceptical start, quickly came to love it. I've just read about the launch of iPhone 5 and am completely underwhelmed. The beefed up Windows phone has me more juiced.
As for the lack of apps? There are only two I'm desperate to see on Windows: Hootsuite and Instagram.
There are a few other things I'd like to see, so if anyone from Windows is listening, here goes:
1 - The ability to access and run a Facebook brand page, as well as a personal account
2 - The ability to customise the views in the built in Twitter app.
3 - The ability to run multiple Twitter accounts
4 - An Instagram app (Microsoft, pay someone to develop this for you if you have to! You're big pals with Facebook, get them to pull the finger out on this.)
5 - The ability to change the colours of the homescreen tiles (and to mix and match the colours. If this is currently possible, I can't work out how to do it).
Other than that, the Lumia 800 on Wiindows 7 is a cracking phone and a pleasure to use.
If Windows 8 and the Lumia 920 improve on that, it's only a matter of time before loads more people start using it.
Comment: Having played with windows phone, it's the whole look and feel that turns me off. The home screen previously known as metro looks like a typographers wet dream but ugly and blocky to me. If this is the future for windows, then god help Microsoft.
Where is the incentive for someone who has invested (especially in money for apps) in android or ios switch and start over again? No matter what hardware comes out, I'm sticking with android.
Comment: Next gen update to my 800. Bring it on
Good: So far, 99%
Bad: I Think its too early to say. If any!
Comment: As an owner of the fab Lumia 800 I think this is a major improvement for both Nokia and Windows. Cant see why the hell people keep banging on about the "lack of apps" for Windows... Have you seen the complete JUNK fart apps that are all over itunes app store? gotta be getting close to 50% Cr....app... Yes I had 2 iphone 4's and got tired of them.
Most of the decent quality useful Apps that you WILL use productively in iOS will be found in the Windows marketplace also. I know because I am using it now.
Looking forward to the launch of this phone.
Good: camera, satnav, everything........
Bad: possibly has arrived to late.....
Comment: possibly has arrived to late..... my phone contract ends this month and I had my mind made up to go for the HTC one X because I cycle my mountain bike everywhere and photograph everything and until now the one X had no real competition in the camera department.....I'll be waiting to get a hands on with the lumia 920 and if its everything Nokia claims it is then I'll be a new convert and a very happy chappy..Well done on producing a beautiful well crafted eye catching phone.... I wish you every successs....
Good: Looks funky
Bad: No SD card slot!!!!!
Comment: So where do my music and work files go? I'll fill the built in memory in a moment - no SD card rules out so many uses for this phone. If I were to use the cloud service then I would need to decide what to download before my train, plane, tube trip. It's a non starter. Sorry Nokia, looks nice but you have removed a very basic feature. Being able to pop a bigger card in allows me not to worry about future storage, if I were to purchase this flawed phone I would always be worrying about filling it up. It's a non starter...
Good: The feel is awsome. Camera is the greatest I've ever seen on a smartphone. Sycing it with my laptop was never easier. Windows 8 is pretty darn cool. I was expecting a lot from Nokia's 'last roll of the dice' and I am thoroughly thrilled. Hats off.
Bad: Dearth of apps. I am sure, we'll see a continuous improvement, but it'll take time.
Comment: Top notch. Will ditch my Galaxy S3 for this thing. I'd love to see it being pitched against the upcoming Iphone. Nokia has survived. Mark my words.
