Good: Smooth UI, fast, feels god in the hand
Bad: Some apps missing, battery can drain quickly
Comment: Unlike some of the people here I actually have one of these, for about three weeks now. It's very nice, feels great in the hand and takes pretty decent pictures.
Some apps, like Instagram and Flipboard are missing, but then it has Office and Nokia Drive I suppose. The battery can drain if you hammer it but you'll generally get a day or more out of it

Good: Over 120,000 apps now mostly free, an amazing amount of free games inc xbox live games
Comment: The Nokia Lumia 820 i have is the best phone i have used so far, there are now over 120,000 apps for this phone including facebook, twitter, ebay, youtube, amazon kindle etc. the apps get updated for extra features, fixes etc automatically (well clicking update all from the store on the phone). its very easy to use but like all phones you will have to adjust to it first (a day or two maybe) the features are great and the design the camera excellent i am really pleased. call quality is also great works well on my home network too...

Comment: I find it hard to understand the "thick and heavy" description. I have tried out the phone at a launch with initial trepidation about how impossible it would be to handle based on the rubbish that have been written in several reviews, but it was a nice surprise that it merely felt solid and "thick and heavy" is a blatant exaggeration of the facts. Does not feel any more unwieldy than the HTC Incredible S I currently use.
Sometimes I wonder what reviewers really want. When Samsung makes an incredibly light phone by using lighter materials, it feels "cheap" (except it's an iPhone, for which this attribute suddenly becomes an advantage); when it is a bit solid, it is "thick and heavy". People should stop whining about the Lumias' dimensions. If you want to see a really thick and heavy Nokia phone, go take a look at the Nokia Communicator and similar phones of yesteryears.

Good: Camera, Speed, no buffering, wireless
Bad: Music, Apps
Comment: The new Nokia Lumia 820 is a great phone and does almost everything i need from a phone, its nice to hold and has a great layout, its fast and the internet is fantastic.also sound its fantastic on both head phones and speaker
only downsides i am finding is that due to the fact that iv gone from iphone i cant get any of my old music onto the phone and the apps i had on iphone i cant get even though my friends with other windows phones have them apps, and most of the apps you have to pay for

Comment: It feels good in the hand, call quality is good, lightning-fast OS,
One thing that should be mentioned about the apps situation is that WP's Store offers many paid-for apps on a try-before-you-buy basis, something others don't.
Back to the phone itself, the pixel density isn't that high but it gives me no issues regards seeing what's on the display.
It's a very good, sturdy smartphone, and another winning design from Nokia.

Good: Build quality, vastly improved OS, wireless charging.
Bad: Less than stellar camera.
Comment: Had a Lumia 800. Loved it. It Broke. Bought a Galaxy Ace as a cheap replacement until WP8 phones became available. Developed deep loathing for Android. Bought Lumia 820.
Happy again.
