Comment: its so amazing
Good: Camera when you understand it
Bad: Complicaded, when U got everything else in Apple .
Comment: I dont understand everything on The phone yet. Someone who knows if i can syncronaise it with Apple ?
Good: Nokia / Camera
Bad: Nokia now owned/joined to Msoft
Comment: Having had a Nokia N95 for may be 7 years now, and is still going strong, which I purchased for its camera capability, and used for a long while only as a camera,as my Mroller Razer was still working happily as a phone (what's happened to Mroller?).This unit comes across as a fit successor to the N95 and hopefully the Msoft madness for changing everything will not have an adverse effect on this north European breed.
Good: Camera / Camera Apps / Windows phone 8 / Battery life
Bad: App Store missing some everyday apps
Comment: This phone is great and so is windows phone 8 which i use to hate until i started using as phone. The thing i find is people slate it and when i look at their phones the tiles are in the same place as stock, this means they haven't learnt how to use the phone at all. I love how i can change the layout to suit how i feel and its so easy to do!!
Now the camera is great when using the pro app you change the setting and photos looking how you want them. I feel the colour reproduction is great to. The camera is the selling point of this phone by far.
App they need more missing some everyday apps that i use with my nexus
I notice someone said about shutter lag on this phone!
It's safe to say that this WILL happen as the phone has to process both a 36-38mp & a 5mp shot all in one click so it's inevitable that you will get a short 'lag' but its not a problem at all & is hardly noticeable - also ...the camera has no burst mode which isn't a problem as the phones has good editing software to counter this
Good: Nice sturdy phone
Bad: Windows o.s. - lack of apps
Comment: Had mine a month & found it to be a sturdy handset that is capable of speed & easy to use, but the windows system seems bland & restrictive as do the apps from the app store, in fact a 3rd party Facebook app was awful,
If you are into the windows scene (as many are quite happy to be) then this phone has lots in it to integrate with your windows 8 pc, the battery is very capable & saw out most of the day with good use,
Right....the camera! The 41mp camera is excellent with good controls to get the perfect picture BUT on the 41mp selling point its disappointing really as you cannot effectively use 41mp....the camera either takes a 36mp or 38mp shot WITH a 5mp pic that can be used to send to social sites & share, the only real chance of seeing the larger quality pictures are on a PC etc so bear that in mind before buying the 1020 as it can be quite disappointing.....said that the shots are of good detail but NOT that good with noticeable noise in places....this in no way would take the place of a dslr camera because of the sensor size but it is good for the not so serious everyday shot, the video on the other hand is brilliant with good stabilisation
....if you can handle a windows based interface then go for it but the camera is defiantly the seller for this phone, just dont hang off the 41mp statement because it's not so, i have now gone to a samsung note 3.....say no more.....AMAZING! But that's another review
Comment: I like this mobile :)
Comment: I have been waiting for this phone to appear, for its camera.
However I have now read reviews which say that it has a significant shutter lag.
Can anyone comment on this, please?
Bad: screen resolution and processor speed
Comment: MICROSOFT( nokia) needs to introduce 5"1080x1920 resolution screen,2.5 GHz quadcore processor and 3 GB RAM version of 1020 to justify the premium it want to charge from customer, only camera will not do....
Good: It looks amazing
Bad: Poor app store concerns
Comment: I've been itching to buy this, but after a poor experience with the 920 in April Im unsure whether to move from my Galaxy S2 or not. I sent the 920 back after 2 days of virtual impossible use.
The new 8.1 update promises a lot of new features and smoother use.
@DarkStar.. How are your apps holding up? Are they crashing like many others are claiming?
