Good: NOT a smart Phone !

How old is this reviewer ? 12 ....
Good: Small size, simplicity, easy to use, Wifi, Bluetooth, Battery Life, good reception
Bad: Screen Resolution, Physical buttons, OS not very flexible
Comment: This one should not be compared to a smartphone. For me, it was a personal decision, I wanted a small sized feature phone, not a smartphone. I am happy with this phone.
Good: The screen is very good, and also some apps, very fast and you have 40 EA games for free, easy to use
Bad: the battery, the OS, has many errors, doesn't work propertly
Comment: is a good cellphone but has some bug, if those bug are fixed may be going to be a better cellphone
Bad: NO flash,no wallpaper,camera not outstanding...no fast 3g browsig..poor u tube clips..incompatible with many applications

Comment: ?ánh giá b?a bãi
Comment: máy này có bàn phím qwerty mà sao l?i nói không có.dánh giá có ?úng không v?y
Good: nice design and appearance, very user- friendly, free 40 EA games, nice UI
Bad: a little bit pricey
Comment: To the reviewer, Nokia isn't stupid to put only a multi-tap keypad on a full touch phone! You can have a landscape and a portrait QWERTY keypad! Please explore the phone first before reviewing!!!!
Comment: I want to have an Asha 311 because the phone is good, has a nice design, and excellent UI. I don't know why CNET reviewers often make bias and nasty comments on new Nokia phones, while other siies such as GSMArena, who has authority on mobiles, said lots of good things to its lesser brother Asha 305. Of course, all phones have downfall but who can complain to this price. Nokia has seriously did lots of improvements in this new phone yet all I can see in this review is that it's old technology. annoying, bla bla...Android has lots of downfall too, and iPhone can't be compared here because its FOUR times the price! Please be reasonable and stop making bias reviews!
Good: Great value for money smartphone with excellent browser
Bad: No flash support
Comment: I bought this phone while visiting the Philippines after my ageing Nokia 5800 decided it didn't want to work anymore and I didn't want to spend a fortune on a high end smartphone that cost more than a decent lap top, After some research it came down to the new Nokia Asha 311 or a budget Android device.
Having had Nokia's for several years I decided to be loyal to the brand due to reliability and good value for money as against unreliable cheap Android devices that seem to be flooding the market at the moment. In truth the nearest competition seemed to be the Samsung Galaxy Y which my girlfriend owns. Price in the Philippines was P5580 or approximately 82GBPs about a third cheaper than the Samsung.
Having read the review on CNET I have to say that it is probably the most biased inaccurate review I have read in many a year.
As far as I can tell Nokia manufacture this device in several locations for different regions, India, Europe, China etc. The device I bought was manufactured in China and the build quality is superb, There is no creaking or flexing of the case, the device feels reassuringly solid and the display is scratch resistant Gorilla Glass.
You are not going to get the highest screen quality at this price but being only 3 inches it is certainly more than adequate for decent web browsing and messaging and it beats the screen quality of the Galaxy Y without a doubt.
It may be an old operating system but in use you would never know and this is indeed a
very smartphone. Everything syncs perfectly once you've entered your details. The push email works exceptionally well and is probably the best I have ever experienced on a smartphone. Emails are delivered in HTML format and very clear to view with even the smallest print being readable. Links to web pages open swiftly and accurately and I just can't fault it, Nokia have done an excellent job with the messaging on this phone. Text messages are displayed in 'conversation' view so you can easily look back and read the whole history of your messages with a contact with just one swipe. Again text is clear and sharp and I can't fault any part of the messaging system on this device, whether email or text it's a delight to use.
Web browsing is light years ahead of my 5800. The new compression system on the browser works great. Sure it shows an unreadable overview of the whole webpage on first loading but just tap the part of the page you wish to read and web pages are rendered perfectly with the only downside being that as the browser does not support flash certain flash elements are missing, an inconvenience but certainly not a deal breaker at this price. Scrolling is effortless and you can move around a web page quickly and easily. The default setting for the browser is 'average' quality but reset it to 'best' quality and you won't find fault with page rendition at all.
Social networking is well catered for with the usual links to 'Facebook' 'Twitter' etc and an excellent 'Facebook Chat' App that keeps you connected at all times should you wish friends to message you at anytime. A green light at the top of the home page shows all the time you are connected to Facebook Chat.
The phone is also pre-loaded with my favourite app 'Nokia Internet Radio' allowing you to listen to absolutely thousands of radio stations from around the world anytime, anywhere.
The phone comes with 15 levels of 'Angry Birds' pre-loaded and the option to download up to 40 free games and apps from the Nokia Store. With the fast 1ghz processor gaming is not a problem.
The camera is a basic 3.2 megapixel shooter with no flash or auto focus, but come on for 82GBPs who's complaining?apart from the above reviewer who seems to find faults with virtually everything where there are none!!! Viewed on the phone screen pics look sharp and fine but if you want to take quality photos then you buy a quality camera right?
In summary this is a lovely sexy looking phone that works great and being brand new Nokia are bound to bring out software updates to make it even better and solve any minor problems that might exist. Apart from the lack of flash support it beats the Samsung Galaxy Y hands down for value and screen quality and I cannot recommend it highly enough providing you appreciate the ultra budget price and don't expect an iPhone!!!
