Good: The camera
Bad: Everything else
Comment: I can barely make a call on this thing without it disconnecting mid call, and I mean 95% of the time this happens, now I just use it for texting and the occasional, miserably slow, single page web search. I am eagerly awaiting the end of this miserable contract so I can finally ditch this terrible phone, a phone which I have owned for 3years now.
There is no reason why anybody in their right mind should wish to own or use this phone!
In fact the only reason I felt I should write this review was because my contract ends in a matter of weeks, and the deep psychological pain inflicted on me over the last 36months will finally come to an end.
But one thing the Nokia 6500 slide does live up to it's name, after 3 years and countless drops on the floor, it does still 'slide', most of the buttons still work, the back case may have broken years ago, little metal bits occasionally fall off, but the little bugger keeps on coming back for more!.
I don't normally form emotional attachments with electrical devices, and this case is no exception. As much as I would love to award this piece of crap a 5 star rating, I am in fact going to award it (still generously) a singular one star.

Good: Features
Bad: Crashes, Slide mechanism
Comment: Quite possibly the worst phone I ever had
Within a few months it was completely unusable.
A friend with one had exactly the same problem - all the buttons simply stop working.
Slide mechanism is a joke and impossible to take apart to see what has gone wrong under the keypad

Good: The way it looks.
Bad: The shocking battery and weight.
Comment: I have had bad phones before, but this was such a disappointment!
So in the short hand, its battery lasts about a day MAX, its heavy, crashes, slow and the interfence isnt as great as the Sony's phones. However it looks really good and has a really good camera.
I would avoid unless you like you to near a pug socket for most of the day!

Good: It's sleek user interface, it's beautiful body design.
Bad: A bit on the chunky side.
Comment: I find it odd that the 6500 Classic had a better review from the editors than did the Slide. Funny, most other reviewers find this phone hands down better--and this user would enthusiastically concur.
It's a bit chunky, yes, but that a bad handset does not make. I chose this phone over the Apple iPhone, the Classic and the N95 8 GB because it combined some of the best features of each, and put them in a simple, yet elegant, handset. (I even paid more than I would have for the iPhone, but I digress.)
I use its radio headset often, the TV plug is great, the music player is easy to use (I also have an iPod Classic, but the phone is my back-up player), the camera is pretty darn good...and the design! It's a beautiful phone to look at.

Good: Minimalist design, metal casing, keypad, scienticfic calculator, music player, loud speakers, easy to use, menu layout, etc
Bad: call quality is not good when using bluetooth headsets, dual LED flash tends to overexposed still images especially when taking portrait/close-up pics.
Comment: The Nokia 6500 Slider is very easy to use, very handy and feels good in the hand. It's minimalist design is very attractive and suitable for young executives - very fashionable. The scientific calculator is also very useful to me. The music player is great, I love to use it without the headset because of loud speakers. Taking pics and video is also enjoyable, although, the dual LED flash cannot match the Xenon flash of Sonny Ericsson's Cyber-shot phones. Pics and videos processing/ saving is average in speed. The only disappointing experience I had with this phone was when I deleted the phone contacts, it also deleted the contacts/info stored in my SIM without warning. But this would not happen if I backed-up my data. Overall, this phone is spectacular.

Good: The camera
Bad: Nothing i dont like!
Comment: This phone is fab - loving it! Everything you could expect from a Nokia phone.
It looks heavy/bulky but actually it really isn't any of those at all - it's lighter than it seems!
The 3.2 camera is very very very good - even in the dark using the Dual Flash! The camera is even better than that of the SE K850i - which i returned due to being disappointing!
I would recommend this phone to all Nokia fans and beyond - i have have had no problems with this handset.
