Good: Everthing! it's simple and has lots of Aplications and gadgets.with no problems!
Bad: Lack of Cover on Camera.
Comment: I have just upgraded from the Nokia N70 and found it was the best move ever. The Viewty is perfect the camera is incredible and so is the video, the slowmotion function is amazing. Best thing ever i doesn't miss any major function.
The touch Screen works perfectly and the sound Quality is great. A MUST HAVE!!!

Good: just about everything! the handset itself is outstanding!
Bad: the PC suite needs to be updated, you should be able to directly access the phones memory so you can drag and drop files, the stylus looks very similar to my girlfriends lip liner! it should also be inbuilt in the handset its only a matter of time before i loose it! the built in game is terrible!
Comment: my criteria for an upgrade was;
to be able to make calls and send messages easily
to be able to take good quality video and still footage
to be able to access the sizeable chunk of my music collection
to be able to watch films/tv shows on journeys
a large viewing screen
phone with expandable memory
contemporary design style
having always trusted nokia in my previous choice of handset it was a big choice for me to ignore some of the tempting assets the n95 had to offer. The reason for this shun was quite simply its poor battery life and the amount of times the phone crashes! my friend can be heard constantly cursing his 'pioneering' n95 handset which although probably not curing his lament was instrumental in my decision to place my trust elsewhere!?
i can quite simply tell you that the phone i have recieved instead is brilliant and that my trust was well placed, it does exactly what it claims to and fulfils all of the criteria i set out!
a key issue for me previous to settling on this model was that i wanted to store large amounts of data on the phone such as pictures, music and films, i have to be honest i took a gamble, the manufacturers guide says its expandable memory goes up to 2gb but i bought a 4gb and it works fine, i am inclined to suggest that it may even cope with 8gb, i have ordered one so will update when i know the answer.
camera, video camera, div x player (watching a film is a joy on this handset!), and music player are all exceptional, the jog wheel although tricky at first becomes a great tool for scrolling. the phone itself has a great interface the calling and messaging performance is great. the battery life is impressive considering what the phone does, the battery has just lasted a 48 hour stretch of calls, messages, photos and the watching of a feature film! the touch screen is a joy to use once you get used to it.
i disagree that the operating system is slow on this handset, i think in light of the functions it has to manage the running and continuity of the sytem is superb, to really explore and benefit from this phones excellent facilities you should take slightly longer than 3 days to formulate a considered response!?
if you are after a phone that competes with the iphone and in some areas outclasses it (camera and video) then this is the phone for you!

Good: Decent camera
Bad: Touchscreen is annoying, connectivity software is terrible, cannot access as external drive
Comment: Looks great but you will soon get fed up with the touchscreen. Also the MP3 player is very quiet, the headphones that come with it are terrible. The phone forces you to use its awful software to transfer files and you have to transfer them one at a time rather than whole folders. There are even spelling mistakes on the phone and with the supplied, very buggy software. If the audio features are important to you then AVOID this phone - there isn't even a graphic equilizer. I do believe that the internal software is slightly better on Vodafone than Three, but nothing to write home about.

Good: Looks good, easy to use and very very sexy.
Bad: The single game it comes with is rubbish as its only a one level demo.
Comment: Ok I said pricey, but like any phone if you haggle you get it for free. And what a freebie this is. It makes calls, it looks good, its easy to use, and being as I swear by Nokia's for their ease of use, that's saying something. The texting is easy, don't listen to the others, if you have a bit of practice, the handwriting recognition program is easy, and very very quick.
Anyway, it is one of the best looking phones on the market I believe. Ok, it isn't a smart phone, but I had one of those in the form of a N80, and you don't use the majority of the features on them anyway. What this phone does, it does well, it does with an ease and a smoothness that makes it all seem to seamless and makes you wish all mobiles were this well thought out.
What could be better, well the game is rubbish as it is a one level demo. However I googled the phone model and bought for under $10 2 games that work perfectly (and cheap what with the exchange rate). The other things I don't like is the converter program doesn't have all the variables I would like, and the stylus folds in on its self rather to easy. However the final issue isn't to much of a problem, as the phone comes with a cover protector, and you can use fingers, pen tops pretty much anything to work though the phone.
If you are up for a new phone you cant do much better than buying this model.

Good: Beautiful touch screen, good battery life, neat camera
Bad: LG want me to think inside the box
Comment: Ok, so first off a bit of background, i have owned various Nokia for a few years now and have just replaced my N80 smartphone with the VIEWTY. I totally loved my N80 other than the depressing battery performance and it was this that really swung it for the VIEWTY over the N95 which would be the logical upgrade. The symbian operating system is great and offers endless user customization and so it was with some trepidation that i decided to see what LG could offer in a way of replacement. To my relief i was rather pleasently suprised, straight out of the box the VIEWTY impresses, it's nice to hold, the touch screen takes very little time to get used to and the vibration feedback thing works really well. The camera/video application seems to be very smooth and manageable although if you switch quickly between camera/video/media viewer and back it does tend to get a little bit confused, these are high memory use applications so i'm not suprised. I have had the phone for about 4 days now and it has lasted a good two days on a normal charge (VIWETY also charges via the inlcuded usb cable...a feat nokia have yet to manage) The call quality is clear and messaging is reasonably straightforward. the VIEWTY alows you to enter writing in a variety of ways including a normal phone keypad, a full size qwerty keypad and handwriting box which allows you to enter letter by letter (this is more or less impossible to use without the stylus, even then i couldn't draw a Y without it thinking it was an F or a J). Having investigated the phone intensively over the weekend i have discovered a few little niggles that take the edge of otherwise a fantastic phone, this is where i have found the VIWETY to be very limiting in user customization. my issues are as follows: 1: The stylus, great idea, works really well with the phone, but unlike other stylus phones the stylus does not fit or clip inside it, instead LG expect you to tie it onto the phone via the lanyard wrist strap bar...i tried this for a day, it got tangled in my keys/headphones etc....crazy decision if you ask me. 2. arghhhh the classic error i thought we had banished to early clunky phones, the camera shutter noise cannot be switched to off, instead must be one of three irritating noises and STILL SOUNDS WHEN THE PHONE IS SET TO SILENT PROFILE, totally and utterly annoying. 3. I could listen to the radio using hands free kit and charge my nokia at the same time, LG have designed the charger input so it can only be used for one thing at a time, not a major headache but a bit frustrating. 4. the charger does not have one of those nice little velcro straps on to tidy up the cable, nokia have been doing this for years...should be standard really. 5. user profiles...here is one of the major points of LG making users think inside the box...they have a number of profiles as standard on the phone but only some of them are editable and then only a number of combinations can be set, eg. i cannot set my phone to 'silent' and also get it to vibrate or use the touch feedback..they are all greyed out. There are user custom profiles but if you select silent then vibrate is STILL greyed out...come on LG learn from symbian..please! 6. menu and general display...the order of the scrolling menu's cannot be changed, if you often use a profile and it's off the screen you will always have to scroll to find it, you cannot move it to the top or somewhere else, contacts are only searchable by a series of letter blocks a-g h-j etc. there is no user preference here just to display one list, messaging...LG seems to want you to enter the numbers rather than select from contacts list, it's a tiny button at the bottom of the screen, surely it would be logical to produce the recently used contacts or just take me to contacts straight away?7. LG pc suite really deosn't make much sense, quite bady managed compared to Nokia's. Phew...right, i know this was a bit of a in depth look and your probably thinking i'm a litt

Good: Camera, touch screen, heck, everything!
Bad: No quick change memory card slot, no in-built stylus holder
Comment: By far the best phone i have ever owned. tried it in the shop before hand as i was dubious about having a full touchscreen phone and having not liked the awkwardness of the iPhone when it came to using it.
Easy to use, stylish, excellent camera, its all perfect for me really.

Good: User Interface is extremely intuitive and very user friendly
Bad: Lagging, incompatability with .JAR and .JAD extensions
Comment: I received this phone on the O2 network on Wednesday this week (24/10/07) and have been waiting patiently for it for so long. I am now sending it back after 3 days as the novelty of the phone wore off extremely quickly to be left with the stark reality that this phone is crying out for a Smartphone OS, a decent processor and a realistic amount of RAM. Some of the features that this phone carries are very impressive (camera, photo/video viewing, UI). The lag on some of the more simple features (screen scrolling, for example) was oh-so-apparent after only these few days. Having only seen the Prada and not used it, I can only assume that these issues were/are present on this phone also. I have heard of the LG smartphone that is supposed to be on its way running Windows Mobile - this, I feel, would be a safer bet if you still want to use the LG.
I didn't get a chance to use the 120 FPS feature of the video recorder and the 5.1 MP still camera promises a lot, but at a regular viewing size (1024x768 on the PC), there was no real noticeable difference between this camera and that found on the Sony Ericsson K750i - that is nearly 3 years old now... The whole point of having a camera phone in my opinion is the convenience of point and shoot, without having to carry 2 devices around. This camera, whilst fairly impressive, doesn't cause much of a worry to a standalone digicam, unlike the SE K850i or the N95. Plus, the convenience of having a camera in your pocket at all times is somewhat flawed by the amount of time it takes to load the camera. By the time you have managed to get the thing to load and focus (mine was set at 3MP at this stage, trying to improve performance) the subject of your picture has moved on and is no longer interested.
Further to this, there is no support for Java .JAR and .JAD extensions, meaning the fun and retro games I've been able to play on all previous mobiles are out of action. The only applications I was able to successfully install were Google maps and the Opera mini browser. On this note, this phone is excellent at surfing due to its HSDPA network coverage - a particular strong-point of the phone. To improve this area, Wi-Fi would have been a killer inclusion to the spec-list.
The UI on this phone is extremely simple and user friendly, however, the lack of a decent processor and associated operating memory means this is more of a saving grace, rather than the spectacle this phone promised to be.
