Good: very decent spec for the money

Bad: screen cracks easily!

Comment: Have had this for about six months and for the money its excellent, the ICS update improved things a bit too.
My only issue is with the screen, had a bubble form on the touch screen between layer of plastic on the underside of the glass screen
BUT i managed to crack the screen whilst in my pocket somehow, got a screen one off ebay but its a bit knackered now!

Good: A lot of phone for the money

Bad: The camera won't make Nikon lose any sleep.

Comment: This is my first Android phone and I only really use it to check the Met.Office forecast, the BBC news, my emails and the TV listings, oh, yes, and phone people. I have also used it quite happily to watch programs via BBC iPlayer. Its performance in all cases has been better than I was expecting for the money. I find the battery life very reasonable as I can go a couple of days between charges with my level of use and the recharge rate is good (about 90 minutes from flat to full). It has an microSD slot and an interchangeable battery.
The camera is pretty basic but I have never found any phone camera to be very good and I have at least a Nikon P510 with me almost all the time so this is not an issue for me.

Good: large screen, easy touch

Bad: LCD completely washes out in sunlight, poor audio quality, below average camera

Comment: The screen becomes completely invisible in direct sunlight. I tried to adjust the brightness but LCD completely washes out in bright sunlight. I use v-moda bass freq ear phones which gives excellent sound output. However, audio quality is very poor even in these earphones. In earphones supplied by the company it is worst. While using camera, i found that image quality is poor.

Good: Good screen, Google app shop

Bad: some pre-installed apps and games cannot be removed

Comment: First smartphone for me (mid 50's..). Fair contract with Vodafone. I do not really see the difference with the more expensive ones, this one does everything I need (and a lot of my friends with I-phones do not use any more features) so why spend more?

Comment: I bought this hand set to up grade from my nokia asher 201 . It will handle BBC I player ok as long as I am in the house and connected to my broadband router and that is as far as it goes. I am dissapointed that Huawei or Vodafone did not doing the ICS up grade. With the exception of the BBC I player bit I think that I would of been ok just sticking with my Nokia 201.Also the screen on the Huawei is useless in bright sun light. Having said that it works OK phoning and texting etc etc but there again so does my nokia asher 201 and at half the price. If I had been more knowledgeable I would have not bought this hand set. Ho! and what is also a dissappointment to me is the gingerbread OS that the Huawei runs on does not support flash player. So at the end of the day I only have myelf to blame for not being savvi enough. It will be a long time before I buy another android or smart phone as I think they are over rated. Would be glad of any input from fellow Huawei owners.

Good: As above, but your review doesn't cover reception

Bad: Goes for days on end unable to find any signal

Comment: I am on Vodafone, but where I live all networks provide spotty coverage. My old Nokia dumb phone never failed to make a call.

Having upgraded to the Huawei Ascend G300 based on the numerous reviews like this one, but I must say it has been one of the most miserable purchasing decisions I have ever made.

This phone's inabaility to find a cell tower is shocking. I can go for days with not so much of a bar of signal. Now all I want is for Vodafone to take it back so I can spend the money on something that is actually a phone rather than dead weight in my pocket. I have no use for the array of smartphone features on a device that will not make calls. I once drove for eight miles in search of a signal to make a call, past numerous functionaing public phone boxes on the way.

Singularly awful product - avoid at all costs.
