Good: Looks great. Small size.

Bad: Very slow. Low battery life. Poor menu navigation.

Comment: I got this phone as an 'upgrade' for the TyTnII. I really like the look of the phone and how much slimmer and lighter it is than the TyTn.

Apart from that it is generally worse than the TyTnII in a number of respects.

First noticeable problem is how slow it is. I select a program, or a move to another menu and it can take seconds to get there. This is compounded by the navigation having been made more convoluted;some common functions that I used to be able to access from one press of a button or selecting one icon now require selection of two or three menus/icons.

The 'accelerometer' which is meant to automatically rotate the screen between landscape and portrait is hit and miss; sometimes it rotates when you do not want it to, and does not rotate the screen when you do want it to.

Battery life is pathetic. On two days, from a full charge I have had low battery warnings. On both days I had made only one brief phone call, sent a couple of texts, and briefly used GPS. The GPS particularly seems to use the battery very fast and the unit gets hot to touch.

The touch scrolling is difficult to use in a controlled way, sometimes scrolling too fast and overshooting, sometimes it selects an item in the list when I wanted to scroll, and then I have to start again.

The Diamond is neither pure touch screen or stylus, but requires a mixture of both. With this phone my preference is to use the stylus when I can as the touch screen function is so poor and frustrating.

With the TyTnII starting to write text in the 'To' box of a message it would predict and suggest names from the contact list. The Diamond does not do this, making finding contacts much slower.

The speakerphone is much worse than the TyTnII, at reasonable volumes it is very distorted. Usable, but only just.

Despite looking good, and being light and slim, the overall experience is one of extreme frustration. Until this phone improves look elsewhere for a Windows Mobile phone.

Good: This phone is amazing, it can do so much and is more like a laptop

Bad: Lack of response

Comment: Everything you can do on a normal pocket pc you can do on this and more.

Good: Very nice features. I like most everything about it.

Bad: Calls sound horrible on the recieving end

Comment: I'm in the US and bought this phone recently.

The features are great. I've never had a touch screen phone, but had no problems with the transition. After using it for a while I was able to consistently hit even the smallest of touch buttons.

Nice small size and weight.

Love the accelerometer with picture rotation and the possible games like the ball game that came with it.

Screen resolution is GREAT! Picture quality seems decent, though I didn't delve into it much.

I find the phone pretty much unusable in the US. I'm using a T-Mobile sim card and every one that I have called claims I sound like I'm on my deathbed. It actually made my three-year-old daughter cry and she refused to talk to me.

I'm going to try and send this thing back and get something else.

If you’re in the US don't get this phone until they fix the problem.
If you’re in the UK or elsewhere, I would say this phone is a bit pricey but it is nice and loaded.

Cheers!
