Comment: They are good at first, however after a couple months they start to slow down, I really wouldn't recommend it! The battery life is also rather appalling!

Note: My jack was broken when i bought it (Brand New) However they claimed it wasn't and tried to charge £35 to replace it.

Good: Screen, ease of use, customisable, design & looks

Bad: Loudspeaker

Comment: I've been using this phone for just over a day.

I haven't experienced any of the issues raised, so am chuffed to bits with my new phone.

Everything about the XE that I have tried unto now has been fabulous. The screen is vibrant, the camera takes superb shots and the text messaging facility is so easy to use.

The only negative I have, hence the half a mark taken off, is that the loudspeaker is...well... not very loud. I have yet to download and transfer music over, but the ring tones even set to the highest aren't that great. There is a function for the phone to automatically set the loudspeaker to become louder if for instance the phone is in your bag or pocket. Very cool, but yet to try this out!

I haven't yet tried the email, internet browser or the Music/Beats Audio as yet, but I will soon.

The Android Market is very cool and very easy to set up.

I highly recommend this phone.

Good: It looks quite good

Bad: Pretty much everything

Comment: I too was foolish enough to get one of these. I also have the the problem of the phone just switching off. Sometimes it restarts, most times it doesn't. So you then have to waste moments of your life taking the battery cover off, then removing the battery, then replacing battery and then the cover, then it finally comes back to life etc. If this is happening to a lot of these phones, then clearly there is a fault - it's not a one off! COME ON HTC, WAKE UP AND FIX IT!!!!!! Who else has the problem of Android constantly needing to upgrade when you boot the phone? Who else also has the GPRS always trying to connect, with that stupid little satellite dish icon flashing away, then it connects, then 5 minutes later, the icon is back trying to connect?

I'm with Orange who are about as much use as a one legged man at an arse kicking contest! HTC support are not any better! Between them, I have Orange say it's HTC's problem, and then HTC saying, no the phone is fine, it's Orange who is the problem.

I'm stuck with this thing now for another 2 years, which to be honest is not a cheery thought.

Good: good size screen and phone when it works. it has every thing you want from a phone and it is easy to use.

Bad: it is riddled with problems i regreted getting it after a couple of days

Comment: It is a nice phone and it has every thing you want. Since I got the phone it has been a hassel I have taken it back twice when error pages come up and it keeps breaking down. It has not worked properly from day one. I find myself getting frustrated when I constantly have to take the battery out for various reasons; to reset it, to cancel a call, get it to unlock etc etc. It also freezes when people call so you can't answer or see who is calling. It also has a habbit of turning itself off and on randomly even when it is on charge. My friend also has this phone and has the same problems. I would not recomend this phone. If you do get this phone get insurance as you are going to need it I am personally with o2 and are no help

Good: its the new leo in terms of cooked roms and complete customisation

Bad: original battery could be better but 3rd party ones are available that do the trick (anker 1900 mAh)

Comment: Have had this for a month or so now and I love it. There is really nothing apart from stock battery I don't like. I always seem to get bored quite quickly with phone operating systems and this was no exception! However, there are countless out there for this phone by many different chefs as long as you have a bit of tech know how and don't mind rooting your phone! Possibilities are really endless. Im currently running Ice Cream Sandwich with sense 4.0 with cpu overclocked to nearly 2 ghz! gpu @ 3.20 3d, 2.66 2d and its running like a dream!
Weather your into hardware and software customisations or just looking for a really well built, well designed smart phone the Sensation xe really is a piece of work!
Plus I know that the One X and One S are on the horizon I would still choose this because of the micro sd support (up to 64 gb... and before you say its only 32! I am running a Samsung 64 gb at the mo!) and the removable battery.
Hope this little review helps sway your decision in the right direction.

Good: ICS/ Sense 3.6 upgrade

Comment: This review needs updating as the Sensation XE now has Android 4 (ICS)/ Sense 3.6 (for most networks). As that is one of the two negative points in the 'Good/ Bad' section (and I think that the weight is 'reassuringly expensive'), please revisit the relevant section(s) so that potential buyers see that there is an alternative to the HTC One S/ Samsung Galaxy S2.

Good: Fast Proccessing, Good Music(iBeats/urBeats), Attractive Looks, Great Screen, Battery Life

Bad: becomes hot frequently, heavy

Comment: I have trade away(no cash included) my 2nd-hand iPhone 4s 16GB with HTC Sensation XE(brand new). Even though people around me are saying that I should have never done that, I am happy that I did it. Because It is faster compared to the iPhone (1.5Ghz>0.8Ghz) and both are dual-core. even though iPhone have Siri, which I don't find very useful and does not use it often. Because it frequently does not get what you are saying accurately. e.g. you have said "Will it rain tomorrow?" it will hear "Will it day tomorrow" or something like. the "urBeats" earphones is a big plus for me, since I'm a music-lover and I find it very useful. It gives you astounding bass and it completely seperates you from the outside world. and the main factor why I have exchange my iPhone for this is the screen size. Because I am frequently traveling and I like to spend my time watching movies in the car while waiting. This is a major upgrade from my iPhone simply because I can watch movies from my phone with ease. And lastly, I a'm not having any problem on my battery(use it for music around 1-2 hour daily + gaming) since it can last up to 2-3 days straight with full charge :D

Good: gorilla glass, 4.3 inch screen, audio, dualcore.

Bad: random restarts and freezing.

Comment: Thought this was a great phone when I first got it and then the freezing and random restarts began. I decided to root and rid the phone of bloatware which I thought was causing the problems, nervous at the thought of bricking my phone I went a head and did it and now my phone is blazing 1.7 GHz ICS no bloatware super slick super smooth amazing makes the galaxy s2 look slow.
