Good: Screen, processing speed, upgrade-ability to Android!!!
Bad: Physical keys on facia feel cheap and a tiny bit wobbly
Comment: Got the HTC HD2 phone second hand on ebay to replace my trusty 2 year old HTC Hero. I had read online about a) how good it was hardware-wise (as reflected accurately in Ms Graham's excellent review above) - and b) what great things you can do with it if you can spare a few hours of nerdy time wiping it and sticking Android on it instead of Windows 6. :)
HTC really did do their finest work (t*rd polishing) with their Sense interface on this handset. I know, having had to suffer the horror of the bare Windows 6 interface for several years on a work-issue handset.
Well, I was definitely *not* disappointed with the results. I have installed Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and something called the 'MIUI' interface on it and it's like an Android phone from the FUTURE. Absolutely love it. Fast, smooth, everything works and it looks fantastic.
For all those here who are praising it running Windows 6 but thinking maybe it's getting a bit long in the tooth, your mind will be BLOWN if you can persuade a geeky friend to 'upgrade' you to Android 2.3 (there's loads of help online, try the tutorials on addictivetips.com for instance). Lets face it, it's not like you're in danger of voiding your manufacturers warrantee.
I now have what feels like the latest £500 super-wizz phone but for £200 and a Saturday afternoon of geeky upgrade fun. Love it. Highly recommended.

Good: Everything
Bad: Windows Application Store
Comment: I Have Had This Phone Since September 2010 And I Have Never Had A Problem With It The Touch Screen Works Fine It Doesnt Unlock In My Pocket Or Open App's By Itself And It Doesnt Freeze!
I Am Very Happy With This Phone And Will Definitely Continue To Use HTC In The Future, The Only Downside Is The Application Store But Thats Down To Microsoft And Not The Phone, I've Never Had A High Opinion Of Microsoft Or Its Products But This Phone Is Fantastic Its Easy To Use, And I Will Definitely Be Getting The HTC HD7

Good: Nothing
Bad: Everything
Comment: Grim, miserable, horrible touch keypad. NEVER, EVER, EVER selects the key you want. Takes ages to compose a text. I bought a stylus off the internet (not provided with the product) to try and improve function but it is still miserable. Ended several telephone calls just by pressing it against my ear. I've persevered for 10 months but I hate it with vengance.

Good: everything
Bad: maybe the lack of apps in the market place
Comment: Well, after being an iphone freak for so long and being VERY dissapointed with the iphone 4g, I bought this. WOW......
It is much faster than the iphone4, can handle with ease lots of applications open, gets really good signal (not like the iphone that drops the call each time you pick it up!), has a really large clear screen, easy to navigate, touchflo technology........ need I go on!
I'm VERY impressed with this phone. I did read some negative stuff but it seems that HTC have ironed those flaws out and updated the ROM version.
I've had the phone 4 weeks now and God help ANYONE who tries to take it away from me! Having had very many phones, this beats all hands down.

Good: nothing
Bad: size,screen freeze up
Comment: i had this htc hd2 for 3 days.after numerous freeze ups i wanted to smash it,but luckily managed to sell it on ebay.its a lovely size screen but basically to big for your pocket.in sunlight its impossible to see anything.the slide unlock feature i had to swipe several times to unlock it.as for videos,i tried loads of formats,avi,divx,mp4, and nothing worked.the sound quality on calls echoed and sounded tinny.you have to remove the battery to put a micro card in.basically i was going nearly mental after the 3 days so as i said,it went to ebay.

Good: screen, fast
Bad: some time eneed to restart, I have custom rom which only update weather on wifi
Comment: There must be a solution to above issues but you need to spend time which I do not have at present.
I am unhappy about word which has a big bar on top and bottom in portrait mode. The Microsoft is just stupid what else you can say.
I have given 10 as the others have given very low score which is not fair. the real score should be 9 equilent to Iphone in gact.

Good: Huge screen; fast processor; it's not an iphone; tactile; weather page; flash for camera
Bad: Windows 6.5 is past its sell by date
Comment: I thought long and hard about choosing the HD2 over, say, an iPhone which my son has. Incidentally, he calls my HD2, 'oh, it's your not an iPhone' which I kind of like. The phone is big but not huge thanks to the fact it is quite thin. It sits in the hand easily and is, how can I best describe it, reassuring to use because it is quite big. I use it for its internet capabilities which are brilliant. It's much faster than the iPhone - even the 3Gs. The larger screen makes surfing much more enjoyable. The downside is Windows 6.5 although I understand an upgrade to the Windows mobile 7 may be available later this year. Personally, I don't mind. OK, navigating round the phone's apps courtesy of Windows is rather clunky but so what - it still gets you where you want. It's not as customisable as other HTC phones, e.g. the Hero running Android which is much silkier and seductive but do you want to spend all your spare time customising your phone? I don't. The weather app HTC have installed is so nice, I even look forward to rainy weather because you get your very own windscreen wiper flicking from side to side as droplets drip down the screen. It's so realistic, you could be forgiven for thinking you had actually got your set wet.
It doesn't have inbuilt links for Facebook or Twitter which doesn't bother me as I don't use them. Setting up email accounts is easy to do and use.
One month on, the phone still makes me smile and I am very satisfied. Oh, the camera is great and the inbuilt flash is really useful - something the iPhone doesn't have.
