Good: Android is great, video is high res, browsing is awesome, better than an the iPhone imo.
Bad: erm... yeah it's kinda flawless, spose it aint the best looking phone out there.
Good: ANDROID ROCKS
Bad: T-Mobile Staff At Newport
Comment: I Desired it MUCH ...
Went to T-Mobile UK Store in Newport with a wad of Cash - My transfer Codes and Identity hopeing to Sign up for the most anticipated new phone in years
No - You cannot have one sir The HTC is Faulty -
Faulty ? Surely My ANDROID lust in the past few weeks would have picked up on the Desire being Faulty? Not a mention on any forum UK or USA saying the Desire is FAULTY!!
Yes sir the phones FAULTY full of bugs indeed - The phones withdrawn ! So I suggest to the "Sales person" that if indeed T-mo added something nasty to the HTC Desire it it may well be FAULTY - But surely its not a good idea to say the HTC is FAULTY - Only that T-mos implementation is FAULTY ?
She showed me the door - Thankfully THREE Voda and 02 have the desire listed as coming soon ;)
I Doubt theirs is FAULTY madam
I Think the T-Mobile Lady is Crazy - Might order one online to be picked up at the Newport Store ;)
Good: Screen, Speed, Fm Radio, Android, Sense UI, Camera
Bad: no rds on radio, missing voice to text
Comment: Have just replaced my Iphone 3gs and am very impressed with the htc desire. The screen is beautifully sharp compared to the iphone. The desire mutli-tasks without a hint of slowdown. Web browser is fast. Only thing is i`d like to see text to voice built in like the Nexus One.
Overall, very happy.
Bad: noo voice
Good: Its fast, easy to use, good looking, not to big & I am very happy with it.
Bad: Nothing as yet maybe the battery life but i have been using it quite a bit.
Comment: What I expected Its fast, easy to use, good looking, not to big & I am very happy with it. Nothing as yet maybe the battery life but I have been using it quite a bit.
Bad: everything else
Comment: Android is just trying very hard to get to iPhone standard but just can't.
I even prefer Symbian over Android.
Good: Great speed, big high resolution screen, great Sense UI
Bad: Small onboard storage even though it has a microSD slot
Comment: Just got it and it is simply the best smartphone available. No surprise though that CNET still won't put anything above the old tech iphone ;(
Good: Speed, HTC Sense, Contact list, Internet, The very good touchscreen, All the homescreens, Easy to type on it, The apps, Android
Bad: A lot of the apps and games are not to a high quality (some are) but with the Android apps are quickly developed. I get a little bit of heating at the lower back of my phone (I do use it alot ... Have not put it down). Battery life is very poor! I charge it atleast once a day (When I use it for the whole day)
Comment: When i first opened the box, the phone just looks beautiful.
In brief terms the Desire has everything ... good camera, quick, amazing internet etc.
Hopefully Android apps and games will develop (There are some very good apps and games but they are limited at the moment but some are amazing).
Flash is good ... shows everything but it should be better when it gets flash 10.1 which is under work as we speak.
Music is good (there is a app where you can download music for free. It is called feebe music). This may be illegal though.
The music player is basic and good. The phone has good bass to it (I can not find any equalizer at the moment). However when I plug my earphones in the top volume is not as high as I would like it to be (but it could be due to my headphones).
Internet is the best - text reflow is great and the web page fixes to the screen.
The display is nice and bright.
Basically this phone is the best phone out ... the only honest negative is the battery life. Everything else you can think of is great.
A top forum is xda developers forum ... great for discussion of this phone.
