Good: Faster!

Bad: No memory card slot..? Why not?

Comment: I'm using my HTC Hero which seems a good, solid phone, but is no where near as powerful as I feel Android needs. The Spotify application stutters sometimes to a point where I just give in listening to music. Hopefully that won't be an issue on this phone!

Good: S AMOLED 4" screen, Software updates from Google (not samsung), fastboot oem unlock, nfc (if it catches on)

Bad: No led notifications, camera quality seems average, plasticky case, no external storage

Comment: So i was really looking forward to this phone... thought it would finally retire my HTC Hero... but, like the Desire HD.. it's simply not the amazing device it could have been.

I can maybe live with a plastic case (worried about fingertip magnet qualities!) and lack of sd card... but the absence of a simple led notification light really upsets me. I like being able to tell if i have any emails waiting for me without having to turn on the phone's screen. I just don't understand why they would take this out... it's not like a flashing led is an battery hog.. and space required for it is minimal.

Still.. i will visit carphone warehouse to play with before final decision.

Good: Slick, fast, 16Gb

Bad: Same RAM as Nexus one, no SD slot, not premium looking

Comment: Looks really good but for the price, they really didn't put much effort in the looks department for the handset. And the UI has not been much updated and lacks a certain 'wow' factor. And where is the RAM ? The nexus one can run short occasionally so it's sad that this model doesn't improve in this department.

I think I'll wait for HTC's next gingerbread based model and stick to the nexus one for now. Sense is a great addition to Android and Gingerbread doesn't come near making it superfluous.

Good: Ginfgerbread, screen, No bloatwear

Bad: It's Samsung and i can't trust these guys

Comment: Alex Hannah, what on earth are you on about?? What will this not have that the iphone does? a couple of fart apps that you have to pay for?

ask the question of what does the iphone does not have compared to these specs and you may be some time.

I'm getting the desire hd only because i have been burnt by Samsung many moons ago and promised myself i would never go back however this does tempt me

Good: flash for camera which galaxy s lacks ! Voice tex response like last years htc evo

Bad: no slide out keyboard for gaming like the epic which i want but never coming to the uk !

Comment: It looks a promising phone but in need of better resoultion to rival the iphone but has aperfect screen size unlike the iphone which is to small .The camera should be a least 8 megapixal by now and if not a 5 megapixal but carl zeiss lens for quality . It has agood stand by time for such a big screen but should have induction charging by now as standard .Overall an alternative for any up coming apple fanboys but the app thing still going to apple .

Bad: Lack of an SD card slot

Comment: Looks a really good phone but the lack of an SD card slot is a major turn off

Good: Quality Camera, Good Operating System, Fair Amount of Applications, 3G!

Bad: As with most Smart Phones is a copy of the iPhone, not as many Applications as the iPhone, lacks image of iPhone, too expensive!

Comment: This phone is a good smart phone although is way too expensive, with a price of £550 it is well into iPhone territory. There still isnt enough Applications for this phone yet not nearly as many as the iPhone. There is nothing about this phone that would make you want to spend your money on it over the iPhone. Unfortunately it hasnt got anything going for it at this price. If this was cheaper around the £400 mark then it would hit the gap in the market.

As phones go this is a good phone and has a good operating system and looks great, its just a shame about the price!
