Good: Screen is fantastic, touch sensitivity is fluid and responsive, processor is fast.
Bad: Needs the android 2.2 ASAP!
Comment: When i opened the box i said God this is quite big, after a few (2) days i start getting to know all the features which is very good especially if you are those kind of people who always want the internet everywhere you go, it didn't disappoint me, it didn't hanged at all, plus you can get bbc iplayer application (unofficial) from android market for free. In my cased i got it before 24th of June, of which O2 still giving unlimited data tariff, after that date the maximum data you can get is 1Gb every month, sometimes you need to be born lucky to make you lucky. I love it, i never got this same feeling ever since i had my blackberry 8900 two years ago.
Good: Great but needs the os update
Bad: Android 1.6 instead of 2.1 or 2.2
Comment: I think the product is great its a nice size for touchscreen apps and games as I said I feel that anything smaller than a 5inch screen just makes using touchscreen stuff awkward and far to small to see what your doing, it is a bit large for a phone but not so big that its unusable, I find its a great balance between being a more open ended ipad and a phone so does everything. There are some things people are complaining about, no radio (but you can download a free app that gives you all radio stations from the world) no media player supporting different formats (but again there is an app thats called xyplayer i think its brilliant) no HDMI but theres a dock with one, also the system is getting updated to android 2.2 in sep. I can seem to do everything I want with this and its powerful enough that its going to have no probs running the new 3d games that are coming out, the camera is more than clear enough and the device also has cameras at the front so you can video chat on msn etc. Definetly a worthwhile purchase just a matter now of waiting on the proper nex gen stuff coming to the android marketplace. Im only giving 4.5 star raiting cause it currently runs on android 1.6. Also like to point out that the review on the front screen for this says no gps navigation as a negative, just to confirm it does have gps navigation.
Good: Large Screen quick and responsive UI
Bad: I can't bring myself to use it as a phone in public. Need blue tooth
Comment: My first Android device was the Samsung Galaxy I7500, yes I was that mug. Will never go Samsung again, stuck in Android 1.5 land forever! Any way now that's off my chest, the Dell Streak is superb. My main use is as a mobile internet device and media player brilliant. My girl friend's Iphone 3G is poor in comparison. Media player no ties to ITunes. Great screen for surfing the net. Battery life good for a smart phone type device. Now have free Sat Nav device with large screen as a bonus. If Dell and O2 take us to 2.2 would give it 10 out of 10.
