Good: always be at the positive side of BB
Bad: minimum or not necessary
Comment: Once u r black u'll never turn back!
Good: Battery Life, Sound Quality is incredible, Signal strength, Build Quality, Efficiency of the OS, App store getting better. Little touches like the LED, the volume buttons that can skip songs, the mute button, the noise cancellation is the best I've found.
Bad: BlackBerry brand has taken a battering, Specs are less than most but it doesn't matter as its a different OS and things just glide. Some mainstream apps missing.
Comment: This is the best phone I have used in a very long time.
There is no lag, it is buttery smooth, the sound quality is phenomenal.
HTC Boomsound is like a dying cat compared to this device.
I LOVE that you can respond to messages from within any other application.
The Hub is incredible. Everything in one place. It's impossible to miss a message. I have ditched my iPhone and HTC One for this. Pity BlackBerry marketing is so bad. More people should hear about this.
Comment: LOL - horrible review. Can't think of a reason why this is better than Android plasticky phones? Maybe if this reviewer had a real job they could.
Things Better than Android:
-BlackBerry Hub destroys awful Android email experience
-Typing/keyboard best in industry
-Nice Contacts Integration
-New Android player on 10.2 makes these equivalent when running Android apps
-Wireless reception superb
- Battery life very good
- BTW, news flash - Android is a mess!
Things worse than Android: screen brightness
Good: fast, screen size, battery live, hub, bb 10 os
Bad: lack of quality apps, slow boot time, no support for headless apps (yet)
Comment: It is a great phone for every BlackBerry fan. I use it as a second phone (I still use my iPhone 5) and the BlackBerry is the best phone to have as a second one imo. I use my BlackBerry mainly for social messaging (BBM, Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter, E-mails).
Im not the type of person who use Instagram, Snapchat, but I can understand that it is a huge miss for a lot of users. Fortunately you can sideload apps with BB 10.2, but I did not have the time to test it yet.
What I find a huge miss is the support of headless apps. That means that if the app is not running, no notification message will b received. That is especially annoying for messaging apps such as Wechat, what I mainly use to keep in touch with my family and friends.
Overall I can recommend the BB Z30 as a second phone, but not as a main phone due to the lack of quality apps and support of headless apps.
Bad: touch screen
Comment: Five advices for BB to go back to the legend time
1) BB bold was the best product for BB, come back with new version for this phone
2) physical keyboard is a must for BlackBerry
3) make sure all the apps available for your product
4) NO touch screen only physical keyboard with ball as controller
5) dismiss the CEO and Marketing manager
Good: battery life
Bad: app store, screen, brightness and many more.
Comment: Who ever is giving this phone 5* either works for bb or knows nothing about phones.
For the price, this phone is really not worth it. The lack of apps in the store is absolutely scandalous, it is no wonder no one wants a BB. The BB 10 OS is almost ok, but too many quirks. The screen quality is well below par considering this phone is supposedly in the same bracket as HTC one and Samsung S4. These phones are well above the Z30 and I know where i would rather spend my money. The galaxy S3 is a better phone than the Z30, imo( and its over a year old now) and considerably less in price.
Seroiusly , if you want to waste your money go out and buy the BB Z30(but you will probably end up like me and regretting it). If you want to spend your money wisely get a HTC one or a galaxy S4 or spend even less and get a S3.
Avoid at all costs.
Good: Slick, easy to use, good build quality and wonderful battery life
Comment: This phone is great. Big step up from the S3. Nice display, great battery life, solid feel and easy to use. I've loved an easier messaging experience, and like the battery and data sipping gps, and found piles of aps (spotcast, open table) and find bbm video even better than Skype on Android, though I also have BlackBerry Skype which works fine.
To all the one star ratings, I doubt you've used this phone, or perhaps even seen it. The Z30 is top notch, a Galaxy for grown ups! Who care about long battery life, good quality and efficient email and text.
Good: Beautiful display, Intuitive easy to use, Took about 2 days to become familiar
Good: Hub, multitasking, gesture-based OS, battery life
Bad: Some key apps will have to be sideloaded...for now
Comment: People, if you need unbiased and informed reviews about technology, you will not find it on CNET. Not in the US and definitely not in the UK. BB10 and the Hub are without compare. Use it for more than a minute and you will not settle for the archaic interfaces of Android and iOS. I recently used my Galaxy Nexus at a concert and I couldn't believe how bad it is. Back arrows? Home keys? Opening ten different apps to respond to my messages? Pathetic.
