Comment: BlackBerry Torch 9860 boasts millions of colors for a stunning viewing experience. RIM has learned the hard way that users won't settle for less than top-notch specifications. The Torch 9860 has a 1.2GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 processor, 768MB of RAM and 4GB of user-accessible storage. display we were surprised to be faced with a blank home screen that requires you to draw up application menus. At the very least we'd like calendar reminders and/or a much larger time and date display in the blank space. Lotus Electronics provide BlackBerry Mobile Torch 9860 at discount price.
Good: the touch screen in more responsive than others i have tried and I have always loved the way a Blackberry is laid out so I went for another on.
Bad: the flip from vertical screen to horizontal can be too sensitive sometimes and typing on the touch can takes ome getting used to after you have had other blackberrys
Comment: Love it.
Good: quick response easy to use nice bright screen
Bad: lack of apps keys too small to type quickly
Comment: just got my phone back from t mobile sent it away because it wouldn't charge they have sent it back saying the fault is cosmetic so they wont repair under guarantee i put it down to bad design i have had this phone since January not happy with this result i will be getting in touch with blackberry feel totally ripped off
Good: its design is lovely
Bad: it goes mute every once in a while.
Comment: It hangs a lot, and it sometimes ceases to bring any form of sound, be it ring tones, voice call sounds, or even keypad sound. I dont know what causes that but thats the only frustrating set back.
Good: Very much liked it initially as very similar to iPhone
Comment: I have had this phone since end of January. After two weeks it wouldn't charge so I had a new phone given me. After three weeks this one wouldn't charge so had to go back to be repaired whilst I was insulted with the replacement Samsung that went out with Noah! I will never buy a Blackberry again. I have had an 8520 which broke after a year and. storm for work which, whilst still working, is incredibly frustrating! I am going to pay contract off and buy an iPhone which is what I wanted to do but was persuaded by O2 staff to have the Torch! It's rubbish and BlackBerry need to go back to basics and start making decent phones!
Good: Good for when you use it which for me isn't that long
Bad: the battery
Comment: I got this phone on a t-mobile contract in November and since then its broken down twice the latest being today. I only got it back two weeks ago after nearly four weeks of being with T-mobile repairs. I was given a new one because the previous one couldn't be repaired. Now its back to t-mobile repairs shop. ITS RUBBISH I've not had the chance to use this phone for 8 full weeks yet I pay T-mobile £30 every month. My advice to any one thinking of getting this phone. please don't, its the crappiest phone ever. Its got me very depressed
Good: Overall a great phone
Bad: lack of decent Apps
Comment: Having had a Blackberry for a number of years now this all touch screen model has been a long time coming but well worth the wait it is responsive, smooth and easy to use, the os7 is a vast improvement on the previoius os6. the menus are easy to custimise to your own likeing i thought i would miss the Keyboard but after a few days personally i think the BB works great without one but you still have the trusty track pad to use.
Overall this is a great phone the best one RIM has come up with, the only downside is the lack of decent apps and the battery will only just last a full day if you use it a lot for downloading or watching videos.
First class well worth getting.
Comment: Its awesome
Good: Improved touchscreen
Bad: Still the same BB as any other
Comment: I dislike how blackberries all do the same thing so I never feel the need to upgrade my Bold 9780 because it does same thing but maybe major boost in processor speeds or encouraging apps development for the boring app world would change that.
Good: Fast, Responsive Touch Screen, Bright Colours.
Bad: Camera isn't fantasic, sericous lack of good apps.
Comment: I've just gone from the HTC Sensation to the Blackberry Torch 9860 (Touch Screen Lover)
I love Blackberrys new attempt at Touch screen, I had the Storm 2 and wasn't overly impressed.
However, I wish RIM would make the UI more Interesting and colourful like other smartphones, and hopefully the next phone they release will have a super duper camera.
Other than that, I absolutley love this phone and glad I swapped from my HTC to the BB.
