Good: It's so pretty..... *strokes*

Bad: The things that begin to fall apart first are the vital bits!!

Comment: I bought this phone 2yrs ago because it looks so lovely. I'm a girl so I don't have to justify these things. It's sleek, glossy and still looks smart enough to compete with the likes of the iPhone. The display is just amazing if you're not used to such a large screen. The overall style of this phone just makes you want to touch it. Beautiful!

I also love how BB combines every email account, myspace, twitter and facebook into one handy msg box. You can seperate them if you prefer but it's so handy. I no longer have to log into Facebook to see who's left a comment, it's automatically retrieved. I am a total fan of BB after this phone. The clicky touchscreen is a nice touch, for me personally,i am forever chucking my phone in a backpack and only when i take it out again i realise it's unlocked itself and had a 6 minute chat with my nan! No such happenings with this phone it's not overly sensitive to touch so no unexplained call charges.

The downside to this is that typing on the touchscreen takes ages, especially if you're used to a full key keyboard. after a while the whole system starts to slow down.. it used to be push icon, job done. now it's push icon... wait.... wait... my handset chose patches of restricted use on the touchscreen on a whim and no matter what position i held the phone in it wouldn't obey me! In the beginning it'd give in and after a few hours/days everything would be back to normal but now it will not let me key in the letters S,W or O... I'm a serial BBM/SMS fiend but no more. It's gotten to the point where I don't bother charging it or replying to people because it takes so long. The only other downside to this phone is the signal... if you live in a house with walls the phone thinks it's in a nuclear bunker and refuses to work. If you're out and about it's fine.

On the whole I love this phone and I love BB. The downsides are the things that seriously irk me because it seems to be all the bits you generally need in a phone that drop off first. The other thing that makes me dislike this phone on occasion are the fact that its so smug. It'll give you just enough signal to call someone then it'll cut out and you'll find reception again then it'll freeze up!

I would recommend this phone to someone, however i'd advise them to get the storm 2 in the hope that BB have done the decent thing and resolved the problems. The one thing i have learnt from this is that i'll never again be solely at the mercy of a fickle touchscreen type pad.

I own it

Good: I like the Touch Screen actually. Big Child like menu, and its many options to do things.

Bad: Signal, Signal and SIGNAL !

Comment: The signal on this is appalling at times. It can cut you off a call or make this funny sound. It cant find service most of the time in my house. But I have had it for about 9 months and to be honest I have fallen in love with this phone for its email service and its very easy BB messenger interface but if your gonna buy it just go for the Storm 2 :)

Good: The email is very good and quick, the satnav is awesome, and the new software upgrade is a vast improvement.

Bad: See below!!

Comment: I am currently coming to the end of my 18 month contract with this phone, and only now, since the new software upgrade, is it half decent.
My biggest problem with the Storm, is the screen.
As it is heat sensitive, apparently, if you have it in your pocket when its cold, or even when quite hot, the screen doesn't like it, so when you go to say press your email button, it flicks to another button, and just keeps doing it until it feels ready to play again.
That to me is no good when i rely on a phone for email.
The battery life is VERY poor. It won't last a working day if you use it fairly regularly for email and internet use.
Every few days it requires a battery removal and re-start as it freezes and takes ages for anything to open.
The Blackberry App store is, to be brutally honest, boring & rubbish, and i have never seen an app that i would feel is worth paying for.
Its nothing like the iPhone app's, and has no where near the quality, quantity i would expect from a phone that initially i bought, as i was told by the phone salesman it was supposed to make the iPhone look silly........i think not.
The 5mp camera isnt very good, it takes ages to actually take a picture.
I could go on and on, but in hindsight, i would not have bought this phone had i known it would have ended up being such a pain to use.
Its a shame, as it has the potential to be an amazing phone, shame blackberry haven't taken that into account
Bring on my iPhone 3gs at the end of the month.

Good: BlackBerry Features; good screen and reasonable camera. Analogue clock and stop watch!

Bad: Everything else

Comment: Flawed design. Click screen is poor and typing is error prone both using overly small Querty and Suretype keyboards. Gravity switch unreliable and often have to knock it to change orientation. Terrible working battery life - lucky to last 8 hours. Claimed 300 hours on standby is a joke. Temperamental charging - frequently have to hard boot to recharge. Frequently drops network connection and allows SOS calls only. Internal aerial not sensitive enough and often unable to find signal. Frequently drops calls. It's so bad my colleague returned his for a BB Curve. Hopefully it's replacement should be better - BlackBerry should do the decent thing and offer all current 9000 users a free upgrade.

Good: nothing

Bad: quality is beyond horrible

Comment: If it was as they advertised it, this would be a great phone. Battery life is 3 hours max, with light usage. With no usage, I get about 8 hours. Call quality is poor at best, I'm often told I can't be understood. GPS will not track outdoors, 3 out of 4 times. Text and emails are dropped, and calls are dropped constantly, even though I'm in a high signal area. Internet access is difficult indoors as well. If you want more information on the liabilities of this device, check out the vodafone eforums and see what the users there have to say. I'm on my second phone in 3 months, and it is useless until I get a replacement, as it will not charge or sync with my pc. Beware the hype from the sales staff, also, as our local shop promised me it would do anything I could do on my laptop via the internet. (More fool me for buying that line.) If I'd checked here first, I'd never have considered this phone. Not to mention that my service provider cannot fix any issues this phone has. If you want a touch phone, this shouldn't even be an option. Ever.

Good: Screen & MP3 Player

Bad: Hopeless as a phone and therefore useless

Comment: I had it for two weeks finally gave up on it when I couldn't even click the answer button for four calls in a row.

It's too bulky. Battery life is pants.

3/10 for a 1st attempt needs alot of improve and to go on a diet!

Good: Screen size & picture quality

Bad: Nearly everything Else

Comment: I had this phone delivered a few days ago, and i was in two minds as to what to go for, either the storm or the Ericsson C905, and i went for the storm.
What a BIG mistake that was, although i am lucky, and i can send it back within 14 days, which i will do.
The only good thing, is the screen size and sound.
I have found quite a few annoying things so far, and one of them is, that when talking on the phone, it tends to go into speaker phone, so assuming my face is too close to the phone, which obviously it would be.
Also, i tried to use the internet, and setting up my msn messenger worked fine, but when i went onto youtube, and bbc iplayer, it was impossible to get any video on it, and i even tried it at 3 this morning, as i was up early for work, and still no better during the quiet time.
Also, i had to take the battery out twice, to clear the memory, as the phone started to lock up, and do strange things.
The keypad lock is a waste of time, as it is on the top of the phone, so when in pocket, all you have to do is knock it, and it's back on.
I also took a video of my dog, using the built in vid camera, and when i tried to play it, it said that the file format is not supported. Uh weird or what.
Anyway, it's going back, which is a shame, as i like the idea of it, and the screen is great, but too many problems for my liking.
Either Ericsson C905, or wait a while for the Nokia N97.

Good: Quality feel, great screen, good sound

Bad: email setup was awkward, no wifi, poor battery life

Comment: Blackberry is supposed to the boss for email. This took too long to set up as no-one at Vodafone let me know I had to register fro account first! The click screen is novel but as reviewer says will fill the edge gap with dirt over time. Like my wifes iphone, my finger hits the key next to the one I want to hit, so it takes some learning, as does the click screen as first reaction is not to push hard and no action is the result. Now set up it feels ok and email works well but the double tap keyboard does not work for me and it feels generally slow so I am going back to my E90 for it's keyboard and forego the music.

Good: It is a PDA, a mp3 player and phone all in one

Bad: n/a

Comment: I just recieved it and have been using it for a few days, but it was easy to set up email and the display is great. Once I viewed a tutorial on how to use the device it became very user friendly.
The device is not wifi, but you dont need it because the data plan that is required (29.99 mth) takes care of that. I have not had any trouble connecting to the internet.

The design is sleek and sharp and so far the performance has been fine. Im glad I selected it. I was torn between purchasing the Samsung Omnia or the storm but I think I made the right choice.
