Good: Keyboard, keyboard, screen and keyboard
Bad: Limited alarm functionality
Comment: It's years since I used a Blackberry and I'd forgotten how much I missed the keyboard. For the last couple of years I've had a Nokia N8. Great phone, lots of really useful functions. Being of a "mature" generation I don't twit, facepage or network socially and I don't watch HD movies streamed to my device. I have a TV for that. so all I want from a phone is 1) the ability to make and receive telephone calls, 2) the ability to send and receive emails and text messages, 3) the ability to use a web browser. Other stuff is nice to have but the phone must do those things first and foremost and the blackberry does it better than any other phone I've ever used. I love the feel of the keyboard on the 9900, I love the new touch screen and I love how fast it is compared to my N8.
In short, it's brilliant - a useful and very good-looking evolution of the classic Blackberry that focuses on the core functionality required of a mobile communication device. If you have to have a portable games console, music player and video player all in one, then this may not be for you. But if you want to use your phone as a phone, organiser and extension of your PC, then this is brilliant.
I hope the new Z10 is successful but I also hope that Blackberry never desert the physical keyboard devices like the 9900.

Good: Both keyboard and touchscreen
Bad: Size of screen
Comment: I'm in a real quandry about this 'baby' - to get or not to get, that is the question. I'm after a handset that will give me immediate emails/Facebook/Twitter/chat etc.... but not sure if I could cope with the smaller screen. I'm used to touchscreen phones and have had/have both the iPhone 4 and HTC Desire HD but have to say I'm getting fed up with the virtual keyboard and am after a phone with a decent physical keyboard which this seems to have. However, as others have said, BB have not updated the menu structure and it does look rather 'dull' as it's mostly text and nowadays, menus are icon driven and far easier to follow and understand (and to find what you're looking for). Any feedback gratefully received!!

Comment: kmria I have read many reviews on the bold 9900 and many say that the battery very soons drains down. I was surprised (pleasantly) to hear that although you abused the phone, the battery still saw you through the day. My usage would be a few emails, few texts, 15 mins of calls, some twitter and a bit of facebook, BBM (one person) and 15 mins of surfing. Reading twitter reading FB I just wondered how that compared?
Thank you for your review
Domino .

Good: It's so easy to use, very responsive and sound quality is excellent when making or recieving calls. Camera is better than on my old Blackerry Bold and I wouldn't swap this phone for an i-phone or any other
Bad: no problems yet and I don't expect any as I didn't have any with my last Bold either
Comment: A brilliant, easy to use phone. Easy to carry round in your pocket and comes with a case that preserves battery life. Great phone

Good: I love the touch and type combination
Bad: NO FLASH !!!!
Comment: I absolutely love my BB9900 but the only downside for me is the fact that there is no flash, but i am willing to sacrifice that because the phone is so well made and the battery last me this has to be the only phone that I've had other than my trusty BB9780 that a battery can actually get me through a day with out having to charge half way through the da. the app store is a little bear but the apps that are there seem a little bit same-same such as a block breaker how many do we really need any ways great phone :)
