The best thing about buying a phone from the Carphone Warehouse is the choice. Rather than being stuck with the phones or deals offered by a single operator, the Carphone Warehouse offers up the best of every network, all in one place.
Occasionally, the Carphone Warehouse also has an exclusive colour or phone on its books that you can't get anywhere else -- at least for a while. See below for our choice of the best phones currently lining the Carphone Warehouse's shelves.
If you're concerned about missing the best price because you won't be buying directly from your network of choice, fret not -- the Carphone Warehouse guarantees that it offers the same deals. It will also match prices if you spot a cheaper one within 14 days. We'd recommend doing a quick check on the network's own website to ensure you're getting the latest deal.
Be sure to check whether the network you've picked offers good coverage before you buy. The Carphone Warehouse website links to all of the networks' signal checkers.
The Carphone Warehouse offers tech support from a company called Geek Squad. If you've more money than sense, you can pay £3.99 a month and get insurance, 24-hour tech support and a back-up service for your phone.
Alternatively, you could settle for the free, one-off 'walk out working' service. Whether in the store or over the phone, a tech-support person will spend 15 minutes getting you up and running with your new blower. They'll even set you up with the Carphone Warehouse's free data back-up service, My Hub.
The Carphone Warehouse is also a good source for accessories for most types of phones. Memory cards, cases and headphones are all available.

This is just embarassing, CNET has gone down the pan.
ukmikk 12 July, 2011 23:05
Laughable really.

Really CNET. If you need more money, just put a bigger advert in - people will complain but at least they wont stop reading.
This is awful. Please dont go down this route, you are just discrediting yourselves as an independent review site.

Carphone warehouse don't price match on sim free phones, but you only find this out when you try to get them to pay up! This article is quite misleading.

Carphone Warehouse is the worst place you could buy a phone. Buy directly from the network operator. If something goes wrong, they are a nightmare to deal with.
The network operators will provide a lot more help directly, but cannot do so if your contract is with the Carphone Warehouse.
Steer clear, don't say I didn't warn you!
