Good: design screen camera battery speed
Bad: signal
Comment: I have had a black berry for a year then a HTC for 2 years and now I am converted by apple. I have never been moved so much by a product ever! and I also thought apple would never live up to the hype but they did and now I have an iPhone 4. do not criticise it, it is too good for criticism, its criticism not well founded based upon pre judgements and lies. Buy it if you can it is magical.

Good: HTC owners are jealous
Bad: signal
Comment: don't listen to all the bad reviews they are all done by people who hate Apple's iPhone and are deeply jealous they don't have one, so they read reviews criticising the signal quality but trust me it is not a big issue. the signal bars go down slightly if you cover all the steel it is simply the best phone ever listen to professional reviews by non petty and jealous people.

Good: Design
Bad: It doesn't make calls
Comment: Right...
I have to say that CNET's review is fatally flawed - this sentence is taken from a link to the iphone 4;
"it makes a better mobile Web surfer, social networker and media player than it does an actual phone. But when there's this much fun to be had, who cares?"
Let me answer this - PEOPLE WHO WANT TO MAKE AND RECEIVE CALLS
It's a PHONE
Not an itouch...
And it still gets 9.4?
If this had been any other phone it would have been slammed...
Do me a favour CNET - grow some balls and start reviewing things like they should be - WITHOUT BIAS....

Good: size, apps availablity
Bad: everything else
Comment: Well, after the long wait, disappointment +++. Five days of trying everything out I got more and more frustrated with the dropping of the signal as soon as I picked it up to answer it. It's MUCH slower than my HTC HD2 and of course, those seasoned users know that it won't run multiple applications without crashing EVERY time.
I kept it for a week, really tried hard to allow the hyped up device to live up to its name but sadly - no.... just disapointment time after time.
Sorry to say so, but after being an i-phone fanatic for so long I have been converted to the HTC HD2 - spectacular phone.

Good: As an iPod touch... it's Fantastic.
Bad: Not being able to make good old-fashioned phone calls.
Comment: Epic Fail. Disgusted at not being able to maintain a signal.

Good: Screen, video calls, camera, video recording and 200,000+ other things!
Bad: People pre-judging it - buy one before you diss it!
Comment: Great phone, great apps and a quality product from those stylish boffins at Apple. Windows and Android can keep the limited geek fraternity while the rest of the world evolves!

Good: Stunning build quality, screen and super fast
Bad: Could make use of widgets
Comment: I was moved to review my iPhone 4 on here, due to the horrifc reviews some others have put.
I got my 16GB iPhone direct from Apple last week, and thus far I have found it to be wonderful. I have previously owned nearly all types of phones, most recently an HTC Hero which was great.
The build quality is totally awesome. Miles ahead of anything I have used before. It is really a work of art. Suprisingly heavy at first and less curvy than a 3G/3GS, but I very quickly came to appreciate it's awesome quality.
The second biggest plus is the wonderful wonderful screen, again surpassing anything I have used, it makes other phones feel like I have taken my contact lenses out before using them.
Thirdly it is really really quick, I guess due to the processor and the RAM. When I am using it on wifi, apps load in seconds. As do e-mails, which look beautiful on it and retain all of their formatting.
My biggest negative is that, coming from the Hero, I slightly miss the widgets offered on HTC devices. Don't get me wrong, this deficiancy is totally outweighed by the quality of Apple apps versus android ones - there are just so many more good quality applications. But yes, after all these years the square buttons are a little bit boring, so that would be my biggest recommendation for Apple to include in the next model.
Every other aspect of the phone, camera, video recording, iMovie, iBooks etc etc is just fine. And as a left handed user without a bumper I can report this signal loss problem certainly hasn't affected me, maybe I hold it differently I don't know..
I am certain this is the best smartphone on the market, and I think the current user score of 5.1 out of ten is mad.

Good: Amazing piece of kit
Bad: That doesn't perform it's most basic purpose
Comment: I was going to upgrade to this handset, but having played with 3 of my firends Iphone 4.0's and within seconds, replicating the reception issue (5 bars to zero within a few seconds) I won't be going anywhere near it.
Frankly, I'm disgusted by your review - how much were you paid exactly to rate this "phone" so highly. Never posted on CNET before and used to respect your opinion, but find your response to this product bizarre to say the least.
