Good: The interface, the application downloads (Loads of which are free!!), the look, the feel... everything really... well almost

Bad: No voice dialing. Also no MMS but I'm not bothered about that.

Comment: The fact that some people gave this product a 1 confuses me as my old old old Nokia get more than that and they only phoned, let alone all the things this masterpiece does! I have been a Iphone customer for just 3 weeks and regret nothing!

I opted for the 16gb model as the 8gb only actually has 7gb onboard after you take the applications from the original memory. Although apple will tell you nothing is adaptable you can get great software to convert movies and ring tones for free so your memory will soon fill up!! So far I have not managed to find an application that allows me to change the text message or other system tones, so have to rely on their boring noises, shame on you Apple!

The battery life gets a hard life but to be honest the only time it really drains is when you are using loads of features; the way I look at it if you had a laptop that had a battery life of 5 hours you would NOT be complaining!?!

The other feature that gets a hard press is the screen getting finger prints. Well my advice is either have your finger prints removed by laser, wear gloves or just wipe it occasionally with your t-shirt and join the touch screen revolution… they are ALL the same dudes!!

The smart interface allows you to create as many screens as you want packing as many features as you want to download. I currently have 7 pages of features (excessive I know but the novelty is still there!) Applications such as Facebook and Youtube are a real plus, and make it feel more like a PC than any other smart phone I have experienced and the safari software has to be tried to be believed… second to none.

I am a proud hotmail customer but for some reason (it will be that Bill being all precious about his settings!) the Iphone can not sync with this, however the is an easy answer. The phone allows you to save any web page as an icon on you screen so just do that and ‘save email and password’ and dada, it works!

I waited for the new Iphone after resisting the original Iphone (Choosing a HTC Touch instead, another brilliant phone). Overall the phone did exactly what I expected, and for the price (although I begrudge paying for ANY phone) was expected so seemed less unreasonable; a marketing success I would say Apple. After years as a HTC smart phone customer, Microsoft has well and truly lost this customer... Sorry Bill

Good: So many things to list here

Bad: No mms

Comment: I have had so many mobile phones you would not believe, and this is head and heels above them all and easily the best out there! Nothing even comes close to be honest! The touch screen works perfectly, very responsive and the internet brouser is a joy to use! Anybody who has this will know what i'm talking about! The only thing stopping me for giving this top marks are: Only 2 meg pixel camera, no flash, can't send mms. Other than this, worth every penny! Best mobile and best gadget ever!

Good: Large responsive touchscreen, Great iPod features and best web experience on the web!

Bad: Lacks some basic features that less advanced phones have.

Comment: The iPhone 3G is one of the best products ever made. Safari is the best mobile web experience availble, This phone has all the features that an iPod touch has only more, Mail on the go is easy and there are loadz more things that are simply incredible about this.

Negatives - There is no Copy and Paste, only 2 MP Camera, no video recording and maps are not preloaded.

Most of these issues can be fixed in future firmware updates

Good: 3G, GPS stlye and funcionality

Bad: Wont sync calander- wont work with my current chrger/fm transmitter that did work with my ipod.

Comment: Having first decieded against an original iphone I'm glad I waited the couple of months for the 3g version to arrive. Im very impressed with it overall, it feels solid but light wieght, the sound quality is great and I particlary like the web browser and speed at which the i phone loads web pages. Its certianally the coolest gadget I own!
The two megapixle camera is a small let down but then I dont generally use the phone to take pictures that would require great resolution. (I have a digital slr for that!) and the gps navigation wont ever replace my tom tom , but for use around town when walking its great. Ive had the phone less than 24 hours and most of that was spent trying to get it to sync with my outlook calender. It syncs fine with contacts but refuses to sync with the calender. Ive since discovered that it is only compatible with outlook 2003, 2007 and microsoft exchange. I currently use office (outlook) 2002, so Ill have to upgrade my microsoft office in the near future. (had I actually read the instructions I would have saved hours messing about trying t sync it with the calander.)
The lack of a user manual in the box was frustrating but the online manuals are downloadable as a .pdf so this was only a minor irritation. They are also quite clear and dont use too much nerd speak.
Is it a phone or an mp3 player? Well for me its one multi-purpose gadget that actually does both its main jobs rather well. Ive yet to discover if notes on the iphone and outlook are able to sync, that will have to wait till I upgrade my microsoft office. Im also anoyed that I will have to buy another fm transmitter/charger for use in the car and that there is no bluetooth to wirelessly conect to headphones. But overall a great bit of kit.

Good: Internet on the go!

Bad: The phone has a few bugs that prevents it from getting the perfect 10.

Comment: The iPhone is the best user experience for a mobile internet and browsing device that I have ever used. The interconnectivity with Mobile Me is excellent for keeping all my contacts, calender and mail all up to date on my phone, the internet and my mac.

All in all it is a slick bit of kit and everything I hoped for when the product was announced. I would like to see a global copy and paste for the phone to make it even better.
