Good: It's a smart phone with many aps
Bad: Doesn't have full Bluetooth capability.
Comment: I'm a bit of a ludite when it comes to phones and this is my first foray into apple territory; it doesn't live up to the hype. I expected wrongly that it would be intuitive to set up and use. Not really, it's just as frustrating as any other phone/device. As you learn how to use it, it gets easier just like anything else. As for itunes.....well it's just antiquated and frustrating. Not the slick site I'd been lead to expect.
Good: It's shape
Bad: It didn't support any downloads
Comment: I use it and found no intersting features in it bcz I can't made an iTunes I'd ..
Good: Desighn,apps,battery life,feel,touch screen,speed
Bad: not as good as i phone 4, but what can you do about it
Comment: Its is an amaizing phone got it of ebay for £70 and it was worth every penny, it has an amaizing feel to it it it the start to the iphone revolution, i would seriousley reccomend it , cheaper than iphone 3gs the only diffrence between them is speed but so what all round fantastic phone
Good: The shiny metal back
Bad: cant replace battery, no multi tasking, slow, you become part of apple.
Comment: Happy to get rid of this rubbish, battery went and lost the phone for two weeks.
Good: It does everything I need
Bad: Poor battery life (only because I use it so much!)
Comment: The best looking and best functioning smartphone out there. Does everything I need it to and the wide variety of applications available means it will always remain useful and relevant. Extremely easy to use.
Good: The Design,Performance and Usability
Bad: The keyboard...
Comment: I have owned The IPhone 3G for almost a year now and that past year has been the best smart phone experence i've ever had...When the first IPhone came out i thought, that it was just one of those stupid gimic phones. However when the 3G came along everything changed. The usability of this device is perfect. i wouldnt change the IPhone 3G for any other phone.
Good: all of it
Bad: slow sometimes
Comment: The new iphone,,,what is to say?
I will try my best!
In a nutshell: The stunning touchscreen user-interface of the iPhone is one of the seven wonders of the modern world. Combining a phone, music player, camera and web browser, the iPhone is a stunning device. However its high cost and many limitations mean that it is a flawed beauty.
Unlike the evening of theatre my husband and i enjoyed the first evening I took possession of it.
We sat in a small theatre to watch the overweight and embarrassingly awful Deborah Klayman stutter and groan her way through the show, when Oliver reminded me about our new toy. I decided to test the new iphone in the theatre and to my amazement -within minutes -was downloading apps and games. My husband was more delighted than I!
The price is a pain and should one buy one insurance is highly recommended.
Good: The wide range of apps, the multimedia functions, the way videos look, very simple but the 3.5mm headphone jack
Bad: no real multitasking functions, no expandable memory, average camera and no video recording functions
Comment: This is a great handset, however the iphone's interface has become a bit dull compared to something like the htc hero or palm pre, and it has the same problem on the 3gs, everyone has seen the iphone ui and there has been no real change in ui from the first gen. As for the actual 3g, it is brilliant, you never get bored because all you need to do is find an interesting app, so you don't really get the problem of finding the handset dull after a year and wishing for your contract to end. However there are a few features which even the 3gs hasn't improved which is why I haven't given it a better mark.
Good: Web browsing ,Email , apps store , responsive screen.
Bad: Lacks many features , using itunes , battery and unusual signs .
Comment: After using the iphone for some time now , I can say that the iphone does some things better than any mobile , but it there are many things missing such as a flash support , multitasking , better camera with more options and video recording . Also there are other missing features such as copy and paste , mms , message forwarding option and other stuff . However , if you have a jailbroken iphone you can get all these things (except better hardware ), or when the os 3.0 comes out we will get these things , so its only a matter of time until it comes out , that's why I didn't rate the iphone based on this . And now I have to say the iphone has the best touch screen and if you like browsing the internet and using emails the iphone is the best too . but what I personally don't like is using itunes for every thing so you can't even remove a song with out it !!! and if you need to put more music you will need to snyc the whole playlist !! . Also , there is some thing really annoying which is when you run out of battery and you need to charge the iphone you wont be able to use it , but the screen works and it shows a red battery , so how stupid is that ? . Finally , I have to say that until we get better phones the iphone still a good choice , so I hope that apple improve it and work harder on the software .
Good: Touch screen, applications, internet, camera!
Bad: Phone size makes it a bit obvious when making calls!
Comment: What isnt there to like?
The texting is easy once you get used to the QWERTY interface and the auto correction works a charm. The Internet browsing is the best ive ever seen on a mobile device. The applications you can dl are endless. The games are fun (well some).
The way in which your messages are displayed in a chat buttle MAN style list makes life sooo much easier when communicating. I honestly cant express how much of a revolution this feature is. It really does make reading messages a lot easier when they look like a real conversation!!
Some people have criticised the battery life, and yet mine has never run out on me. I dont use it 24/7 and charge it up every one or two nights as I would any phone. It can also be charged on any PC, so you could charge it at work or university.
Obviously if you use it for music and games 24/7 while out the house it will run down. But so would any electrical device if you did that. Use some common sense!
The camera may not be high resolution, but unless you need high-res images who cares? I had a Sony camera phone and an LG Viewty before this and I cant say I miss the higher res images. They still look good and bring back memories.
The transfer of music, contacts and images could not be simpler using a combination of iTunes and Outlook. I keep all my contacts up to date on Outlook and it auto updates them on my phone and vise-versa. This may require a bit of IT know-how, but most teenagers and 20somethings are IT literate now!
Itunes is also the easiest application in the world to use, and is great for music, pod-casts, applications and games from the istore.
Using the ipod as a "smart phone" is also no joke in my experience. It is great for internet browsing (as mentioned above with its WiFi for free access) with a good size screen and intuitive interface. I also use mine to check email and use online chat like MSN or AOL using programmes from the iStore. No doubt someone will release a word processor for it soon enough to create and read MS documents.
I personally have mine in a Switch Easy Colours case and it is in perfect condition and perfectly protected. I would recommend that to avoid any damage to its screen or back or sides.
My only tiny issue is how obvious this phone is to use in public. I didn't buy this phone to show off and I don't like using it in crowded areas where people can spie me using it.
How ever the case it is wrapped up in, helps protect it from looking too iPhoney! My advice (unless you want to show off) is use this phone discreetly (as I would any phone anyway) because your painting a target on yourself to be mugged.
Dont be one of those idiots who walks down the street carrying an ipod or iphone in our hands, with a white wire dangling out for the entire world to see. Its not classy for one!
If it wasn't for the absolutely STUPID price of this phone or the STUPID contract deals O2 offers, I would recommend this in a second.
How ever it is expensive on pay-as-you-go and its a big investment, and even the contract deals dont make it any more apealing as the tarriffs arent great!!!!
But if you do have the cash, and want to treat yourself then go ahead. It is a really good phone for both casual use and business use IMO.
