Good: simple to use
Bad: sound is so bad as to make it almost unuseable, even with out anyting realy saved on it the memory is full and if you clear the memory it still acts like it is full!
Comment: I would not purchase this phone again; even for a child

Good: Easy for kids or the elderly, Has a torch, decent battery, Radio, and more
Bad: Bulky, no other colours
Comment: Ok so I do not own this phone. But I have seen and used it seeing as my cousin has it. My cousin is one of the spoilt kids, always wanting an iPhone or android at such an early age. She's 7. She has a school disco coming up, so my aunt didn't know what to do as it ended kind of late and no one would be home at the time. So she bought her the cheapest phone possible. Being my spoilt cousin, she showed it off to everyone, even though it really is not impressive, but for some year 1's or whatever year she's in they were impressed. Anyway, it's really bulky, easy to use and it has radio. She wanted an iPhone but my aunt said she has to get a job and pay it herself if she wants one so much. Anyway the only bad points is that it's bulky and does not have Any other colours, because my cousin would have at least wanted pink. GREAT PHONE THOUGH.

Good: Cheap, cheerful. Easy to replace.
Bad: Dual Band GSM. Limited functionality.
Comment: It's a Dual-Band Phone: 900/1800 GSM.
So where it may work, "Anywhere in the World.", it might be worth noting, that not Everywhere in the World, supports these two Bands.
Although a great majority do.
I'm tempted, by the novelty of getting a Phone for 1p.
(However, it would still be a bit self-indulgent.).
As I'd have to spend £10 at the same time.

Good: Cheap and Basic
Bad: Menu system a little tricky at times
Comment: I just got this phone for 1p plus a £10 top up at the CPW. I can't complain at the price. I am going on holiday and to avoid the risk of losing personal details and an expensive smartphone I got this. In the event that I lose it or it's stolen while I'm away I won't really mind.
The network it came with is Talkmobile although the phone is unlocked so will take any sim card out there, even foreign ones I'm told. It'll work abroad as well, so a good back up holiday phone to avoid any accidental MMS/Internet data charges being used by mistake (it doesn't have these features!).
Had a play with the radio and apart from the 1 uncomfortable headphone supplied, everything else is fine. The light is bright enough to provide a little illumination around your feet but not much else. The one drawback is the menus. Sometimes I thought I had applied a setting only for it to not have been applied and vice versa, so had to do some things twice. The predictive text has also lost me, I cannot work out how to turn it on at all.
In conclusion though, a perfect phone to have for when using your normal phone is a bad idea, or for someone who just wants a phone and not a pocket computer!

Comment: If anyone can figure out how to get predictive text on this, please tell me!
I've had it for a week now, and the Alcatel customer support are useless, as are the Carphone Warehouse.
I do like it, I don't like taking my normal phone on a night out in case i loose or break it, so it's handy for that. But I can't be doing without predictive - it takes me a few minutes just to send a text telling my friends i'm home safe.
Please help me, I can't find a solution for this anywhere!

Comment: So 'orrible I had to get one from CarPhoneWarehouse. Does the basics, calls and texts just fine. Lightweight, Good battery life, Bullet-proof, takes any SIM card not locked to any network so handy as a standby to use up remaining minutes if your main mob gives up the ghost. Torch-light to help you sneak off to bed after late night sortie! At 99p any mugger will feel sorry for you and give you his loose change!

Comment: Can you even put a fault on a phone that costs just 90p?? can you??
