Good: Nice to hold, easy to use, swype, light, good camera
Bad: terrible memory issues
Comment: When I first got this I would have given it 4/5 stars.
But now after a year, I hate it.
The internal memory is basically full of stupid apps that you never use and cannot delete. You can have additional storage on a mini SD but this caused issues for me when phone got jostled around it would come loose and then none of my things would open or work. It turns itself off all the time.
The mobile internet is unpredictable, it will say full strength then as soon as I open an app it turns off (the mobile internet, not the phone)and won't work. This is not the fault of my provider, because my partner does not have the same issues when using his basic Samsung.
Good: the scree,speed
Bad: acer ui
Comment: I have the liquid metal running gingerbread 2.3.6 and have to say for the money its a good buy just the right size.Howerver i can not find anywere, were i can change it back to default Android configuration.Have they taken this option off?
Good: Incredible value for money (currently only £130), equal spec to the £400 iphone 4
Bad: Scrolling is eye fatiguing, sound is a bit tinny, blue cast on the screen, largish size and weight.
Comment: This phone is currently only £130 for the phone with Android 2.3, so the main review is out of date. I also think the reviewer has marked it unfairly, maybe because of the original price or maybe because of bias against a company that is better known for making laptops.
The Acer Liquid Metal has every feature you need and according to geekaphone, is equal in spec to the £400 iphone 4. It works beautifully too. There's just a few problems that could have been ironed out if Acer were a bit more careful at the design stage, but i'm being really picky because i couldn't find a lot wrong with it.
Good: It's tactile and a damn pretty thing
Bad: I spend too much time playing on and with it.
Comment: This is a cool phone, it feels, looks and runs beautifully. I got it for christmas and love it ! You don't have to use the acer interface but can use the android 2.2 instead. It's a joy.
I was looking for a real working android phone. This is it !!
Comment: This looks pretty good from the front, but the fact that you have to have a degree in 'Urban science fiction devices and how to use them' (i.e., the very strange interface)- will deter a lot.
