Good: Multi Tasking
Bad: Not worth the effort
Comment: Upgrading my iPad was a nightmare (and not just me!). Took several hours to resolve using a different computer.....not happy

Good: direct streaming to airport express
Bad: breaks down integration with audio system of Volvo Cars
Comment: I loved the functionality to directly stream to my airport express, but IOS 4.2.1 is not compatible with the Audio System build in Volvo's.
That functionality is much more improtant to me (being able to control my ipod from the steering wheel).
So i downgraded to IOS 4.1.... amazing how apple could mess this one up btw... Since they announenced a partnership with volvo in 2005 to integrate apple ipod technolgy in the car....

Good: Airplay, Speed improvements
Bad: Regional Settings
Comment: Airplay works great - streaming to Airport express around the house from my 3GS (but not from my wife's older 3G). Definite speed improvements within the UI.
But Apple - for those who speak English it is "Games Centre" - please take note of a device's regional settings....

Good: It didnt brick my iPhone 4.
Bad: I dont see any useful updates for me.
Comment: I already have mobile me, game centre sucks anyway (wheres my facebook integration, if independent game devs can do it well then why cant Apple!), I have a wireless HP printer on my network, but I had an app to print to that anyway (I would just turn on my laptop to print an email or word doc!).
So basically, I upgraded for upgrades sake. I'm sure the iPad update was nice, I'm waiting for iPad mark 2 before I jump on that band waggon!
I suppose if it makes iPhone 3G's work thats great, iOS 4 made my old one act like it had been badly jailbroken!! Its almost like Apple didnt do any user testing with iOS4 on previous hardware!

Good: I like it how find my iPhone snow free to use without subscribing to mobile me
Bad: Air print it's pretty useless unless you have a HP wireless printer also airplay you need an apple tv witch Most people don't have and these 2points are the key parts of iOS 4.2
Comment: Overall this update is quite good especially for iPad I've also noticed a few extra things: the the voice recorder app icon has changed and when you double tap the home button and swipe left from the music page you can control the volume without going into the music app
