Joining the one-ring-flash circus
To the disgust of my partner, I spent most of the weekend playing with my new ring flash (rather than, for example, installing water butts or planting tomatoes in grow bags). Here are some test shots, and some tulip photos taken at Kew.
Here's a small green alien and his trusty horse
Because the flash is circular, it lights the eye from all sides, producing a circular shadow
Ring flash is ideal for a shot like this, because it lights the centre of the flower evenly
And here's a bluebell
