I own a Qosmio X300.
I had to send it 3 times for overheating issues.
Recently, i planned to buy a I7 laptop and my choice went finally for a Asus G75VX. Before buying it, i read reviews regarding new generation Qosmio laptops and i have to say i was dissapointed that the overheating issue was still existing on Qosmio laptops.
Really sad because, i love my Qosmio and wanted to stay with this brand.
You can certainly use a cooling pas to decrease the heat but air is still hot.
Never had any crashing issue since i use it on my X300.
The Asus is a really performing laptop but sound is horrible comparing my great X300 Qosmio. :( but no overheat at all.
Good: gaming, 3d, sound, design
Bad: overheating, right palmrest place hot, shutting down because of heat
Comment: Generally I like it, but I have to find way to keep it under temperature of shutting down, he is overheating. I use CM U3 under it, and still nothing is better. Right palm rest is too hot while graphics are at max. Hot air is going out at right side, where I usually use my mouse. Toshiba made a lot of mistakes, they should make a revision with next one. I'll buy G75VX next because Asus avoided those mistakes that Toshiba made. So disappointing for 2K of Euros. It is beautiful and mighty, but too hot to be cool!
Good: nails every single game in ultra settings
Bad: the battery only lasts 2-3 max, its heavy as rock
Comment: its totally worth it
Comment: i totaly want it
Good: full HD and 3D display with 3d glasses inside box
