Good: I really don't know what is good about it... i think it is great that i can get it with a i7 processer. I also think that it is great that i can have a docking-station to it. That makes the situation a bit different. If I am going to buy it, then it's gonna be with 500gb and 7200rpm, that maybe and hopefully would make it a lot better.
Bad: If all this i the main-review is how it is, then there is really many bad things. But it is really bad that the graphic is so bad!Especially for that price.
Comment: Can anyone help me about advising me, about the laptop? If it is so bad, can you maybe give me another solution of a laptop, with better solutions.
Comment: Sony are releasing the new S Series Vaio - can anyone tell me if the one being released in the US is the same as the UK?
Good: keyboard, solid build, looks, windows 7 64 bit pro, 6gb memory
Bad: Original price, although recently available for sub £1000
Comment: Have to agree with the review. I paid extra for this model over it's lesser cousin. I wanted the extra ram and graphics to handle video editing, photoshop and Corel painter software without any performance issues. I have owned the laptop for two months now and haven't had any problems. I even installed microsoft flightsim 2004 and ramped the sliders up to maximum, just to see how the sony handled itself. Again, no issues. Might try FSX for a giggle.
It was a toss up between the Sony and an Apple Macbook pro 13". Went right down to the wire, love both machines, but played safe in the end. Wasn't sure about using windows versions of above software on the mac. I know it's possible, but still........Also I work in Saudi Arabia, and Apple support out here is apparently p**s poor. Shame really.
Anyway, happy with my purchase. Feels like it's built to last (done it now haven't I). Built in internet sim card slot works fine, and am warming to windows 7 pro. Would have preferred an extra usb connection and a slot loading dvd drive like I had on my previous machine an Acer ferrari 4000.
Hope this helps anyone looking to purchase one.
