Good: It's fast, and easy to use
Bad: The guarantee is pretty much how long it'll last
Comment: I've owned a pink version of this computer for almost 3 years now, and I've been mostly satisfied with it. It can handle when I open 20 tabs at a time, and leave the computer on for months. However, I must say that the battery sucks. My school doesn't have that many power outlets, and when I have to use my computer for every class from 8 am till 3:30 pm, the battery just isn't good enough. Apart from that, I've had trouble with the buttons on the pad. Last year, about a month before the guarantee was up, they stopped working. It was sheer luck that it happened just in time to get it fixed. However, now it's happened again, and it's really expensive to get it fixed.
Bad: Battery, power switch location
Comment: Something worth mentioning is just how much this laptop can be upgraded from "stock", it's the most upgradable laptop I've ever owned! I changed the i3-370M it came with for an i5-580M, which is actually pretty respectable even now. The 4 GB of ram it comes with is on a single stick, so just buy another 4 GB stick from the same manufacturer (easily found on eBay) and you'll not only get the extra memory but you'll also benefit from dual channel. Even the screen can be upgraded from the 1366x768 it typically comes with to the 1600x900 mentioned in Tom's review, it just needs a switch flipped on the board. The modular design of the EA series is a bonus I never really considered when buying, but it has definitely paid off.
Comment: Good, but nothing can beet the mac book!

Good: It's not Apple.
Comment: Sony VAIOS are great PCs. Only Windows Vista OS was crappy enough to dent their rep.
Good: Fantastic screen, good construction, the fact it comes in bright green, awesome keyboard and touchpad, plenty of connectivity, fast and responsive
Bad: Battery life
Comment: Can't help thinking this review is a little late - I've owned this laptop for almost a year now!
My model has a 1600x900 screen and it's genuinely fantastic, makes working on two things side-by-side so easy. Can't go back to a lower resolution screen now. It's pretty fast and responsive for the stuff I use it for the keyboard + touchpad are ace. It also looks pretty awesome and has stood up well to a years worth of being unceremoniously dumped in a bag and carted around school.
Battery life is undeniably poor, but this doesn't bother me as I normally use it within reach of a power socket and it's easy enough to dial down the settings, in which case 4 hours of light use is just about possible.
One of my friends has a 15" Macbook Pro and my laptop exceeds or equals every single one of his features .. all I'm missing is the battery life, the aluminium, and the Apple logo.
