Alienware M17x
The 17-inch M17x laptop is monstrously huge and insanely fast. It packs some of the most powerful laptop components currently available and makes mincemeat of the latest games, even at the highest resolutions. Only the most fanatical gamers will be willing to shell out for it though

Alienware M17
With the 17-inch M17 gaming laptop, Alienware has created a gigantic, polygon-munching monster. Offering some of the best performance we've ever seen, it's insanely fast, has a multitude of high-end customisation options and is attractive to boot. Few rivals can really match it

Alienware m9700
Alienware is usually quick off the starting blocks when it comes to a new graphics configuration or technology, but with the m9700 it stands out for another reason -- it's decked out in a rather garish shade of Cyborg Green. It's difficult to fault the core spec, though -- 2GB of RAM and a 2.2GHz processor -- and its 17-inch display is great for gaming

Alienware Area-51 m5550
The m5550 posted some of the best test scores we've seen, so if you're looking for raw power (and you can afford to pay nearly two grand for it), you won't go wrong with this desktop replacement from Alienware. If you need a laptop that will run on its battery for extended periods, though, look elsewhere

Alienware Aurora mALX
The Aurora mALX is arguably the most audacious gaming laptop in Alienware's line-up. Not only is it airbrushed to give it a 'gamer' aesthetic, but it's also the first laptop to use 1GB of dedicated graphics memory -- giving it arguably the greatest graphics performance seen outside of a high-end gaming rig

Alienware Area-51 m5700
Some aspects of its specification have been eclipsed by newer components, and it's enormously pricey in comparison to laptops from smaller vendors, but if you prefer big-name brands, this Alienware is a worthy contender.

Alienware Area 51m 7700
There's something kooky about Alienware. It's the kid at school who threw balled-up paper around during maths lessons, but then quietly snuck off to read up on relativity at lunch time. The Alienware brand says 'late-90s raver', but the Alienware components and price tag say 'I'm deadly serious about my PC'
