Good: Brilliant piece of kit, reliable, functional, stylish & fast
Bad: Battery performance for a laptop is dire
Comment: I bought my R508 ! year ago. it has traveled around Europe with me by car, Motorcycle & flight. it has neither broken or even crashed. except for a windows 7 Glitch when i first bought it. unlike my previous sony Viao, and toshiba sattelite. buy one if you dont need to be to far from a power supply, If you do forget it. 1 hr max with the wi-fi and connected to the internet,

Good: Very Quite Machine & Runs Very Smoothly, Screen Size is Amazing !!
Bad: Nothing i Can Tell !! Great Buy !!
Comment: My Verdict
I Purchased a Samsung R780 Laptop as Above very true it offers good performance for the price, and both the chassis and display look great. If you can forgive its weak battery life, it'll prove an ace multimedia machine.
Very Smooth Machine !!!
Runs Well Online !!
Great Gift !!
Thank you Samsung 10/10
Highly Recommend A +

Good: ok specs
Bad: flimsy peice of sh*t , will litraly fall to bits for no reson
Comment: ok i was annoyed that i had wasted all my saving when i made my first comment ,heres it making more seance
ok so firstly i put it down on my bed and the sheets where like on top of each other of a bit so it was up a bit ,causeing where the charger is pluged in to be slighly pushed up causeing it to crach and bent the laptop with little pressure ,i cant back 15 mins laster to find it craced and all bent and the bit snaped inside the bit where u plug the charger in
secondly the bit where u pop out to put micro sticks in poped out and when i tryed to put it bck in it would keep comling out and the bit that holds it in is ovisosly snaped be for i bought it
therdly the bit that guardsthe webcam fell off for no reson
fourth ,and just by moving the screen all the way back cauases the back bit on the base to be pulled off of the main bit (kinda hard to discribe)
bought it for £800 form fenicks, to be honist i feel like i just put ALL my savings on a fire :( just spent it all on this thing and i wish i didnt , i bought it for gaming as i was kinda lied to by the sunday worker....it cant do what i was told it could ,also i was told it came with word 2010, only a trial of 07,guess he said anything to get a sale.... and i asked him if the sound card suported sterio mix and he was like what does thtae mean,i had to check on the display modal.

Good: Pretty much everything
Bad: Not much
Comment: I bought the R580 (smaller version) for my Mum and it has been a perfect purchase as a mid range and affordable system that does everything she could need (she's not much of a gamer) with ease.
I reccomend it without hesitation.

Comment: On the whole, I am pleased with the R780. The screen isn't quite as good as it's predecessor the R710, but the i5 never gets hot and plays most of the latest PC games with ease- so long as you keep it plugged in =). Very interested to see what Samsung come up with next year.

Good: Great Value for Money. Balanced Hardware.
Bad: Not Direct X11 Compatible. Poor Battery Life.
Comment: In comparison with other models around the £750 mark the R780 is one of the better Geforce GPU machines to have for a desktop replacement but it isn't a top contender.
It has a couple of faults so lets talk about those first before we get onto the good stuff.
1. The Geforce GT 330m GPU isn't Direct X 11 compatible so you won't be able to play the latest games with high settings. If you want to play the latest games your going to have to go for a Ati 5000 series machine.
2. The battery doesn't last long on this machine so you won't be able to take it outside and if you want to watch movies on the go it will likely switch off during the good parts of your movies.
3. You can get better screen resolutions at this price. Try Sony Vaio.
What I like about this Laptop though is you are getting a lot for your money and if your not planning on taking it outside it would serve as a great desktop replacement.
What makes it so great is that all the hardware inside this machine has been balanced so it will not over heat so much or create fps problems.
Us tech Geeks call this term bottle necking and its when you have a dominant Graphics card demanding to much from the Processor & Memory.
I think this Laptop would suit a family user or avid multimedia user.
It's not the type of Laptop you want to use for online Games or Travel though.

Good: great screen, good graphics card
Bad: keyboard, slow HDD
Comment: the screen is great - big and bright, the graphics card is very good, can handle most recent games (though some settings need to be lowered)
the keyboard takes some getting used to - very flat, my fingers tend to slip off the keys. but at least it's full-size.
it'd be nice if was illuminated - but that's because i tend to sit in the dark and use my laptop
the trackpad is off-centre, so i tend to catch it a lot when typing.
the hard drive is disappointing - at this price they couldn't have gone for a 7200rpm unit?
the lack of Blu-Ray is also disappointing - i haven't been able to find a UK supplier that includes it - so the initial review is incorrect.
the price is £800 from PC World - but for a DVD-RW, not a Blu-Ray

Good: The screen resolution is amazing and HD movies look great on it. Also super quick!
Bad: Speakers sound a little tinny and could be better
Comment: I am more than happy with this laptop, it looks gorgeous and has all the ports I regularly use, it has impressive specs to boot which it make it an absolute dream to use.
