Good: Long battery life, good keyboard, fast machine
Bad: 2 USB ports, no webcam, no microphone, Windows XP
Comment: It's a good laptop for someone who made the WRONG choice. If you want a proper computer, I suggest you go out and buy a Mac.

Good: The way it looks, everything else is a waste
Bad: Product quality and the Samsung service is historical milestone
Comment: Bought the Q35 about 6 months ago. Before this one I had the Dell, Vaio, Toshiba Tecra and the IBM, I am a laptop user for the last 7 years. All of them were great machines except this last one. Within two weeks the screen started flickering, then the keyboard button colours started to fade away while the classy shiny silver paint of the mouse buttons completely changed to white.
So I called Samsung service and asked them to fix it, but then the real horror started. They picked it up and one week later I got it back with no imporvement at all...except a malfunctioning microfone connection. So I called and they picked it up again. After FOUR weeks it got back to me with the same flickering screen but this time a crack in the monitor frame... totally free of charge. Now they are supposed to pick it up for the last 2 weeks because they felt sorry for me begging for it too much.
In the mean time I spend the 500 euro extra and got a Vaio as usual. Will let you know about this drama as soon as I have more news... however in the mean time the Samsung support has advised me to use the laptop as a fixed desktop, buy myself an extra LCD monitor from SAMSUNG!!! and stop visiting my clients...!!!????

Good: Just about everything, especially the battery life! Also has an excellent screen and a solid keyboard
Bad: Two USB ports
Comment: An excellent computer at a good price (I got mine from Misco) at less than £1,000.

Good: Excellent screen, battery life and performance
Bad: Lack of s-video out connector
Comment: I purchased this laptop to serve 3 purposes.
1. For me to use for work when I'm out of the office
2. My wife to check email and surf the web
3. My daughter to watch movies when we go on long car journeys etc.
This little gem satisfies all of the above and more. I wasn't expecting to play games on it, but i was pleasantly surprised to find that I have no difficulties with titles such as Half Life 2 and Evolution GT.
Highly recommended.
