Good: It's decent to use for studies and checking mail
Bad: Pretty much, Everything else...
Comment: ... well, where do I start, I've had the problem where the screen all but falls of the laptop- which I had to pay £50 to get it sorted and get new screws that FIT!... The Camera quality is so bad... well, it's unfathomable. You then have the part where it gets dirty really quickly. It's rather- ugly, though that I don't much care about- that is if it worked... The other problem is that it goes through the crashing stages... I wouldn't recommend buying this for anyone, it either gets destroyed by falling to pieces as it is poorly made, destroyed by the crashing, or dirty and overheat... to simply put it- it sucks.
Bad: Build and durability
Comment: Further to the comments made in Feb 2013, the computer stopped working in July 2013 (15 months age), An independent engineers report showed a motherboard failure. Neither Lenovo nor the supplier (Buy It Direct) want to know anything about it despite the Sale of Goods Act stating that goods should be suitably long lasting and durable. I am taking the matter to the small claims court in the new year. My view is NEVER EVER buy a Lenovo laptop. In my experience they are cheap and nasty.
Good: Fast, decent size, cheapish
Bad: Build quality is awful, looks boring
Comment: I purchased a G570 with i5 processor after lots of research. I was perfectly happy with its performance. I've had the hinge problem, but cured it myself by unscrewing the back and put everything into place. The hinge is fine now but I'm pretty careful with it now!
A few months later, the thing wouldn't start up and kept getting stuck at the boot stage. In the end I re-installed Windows, which cured the problem temporarily, for about a week. It then had the same problem again. I can now only boot from a CD that I have bought. BUT... the CD/DVD drive obviously has a loose connection and keeps disappearing from view under My Computer. If I flex the body of the laptop I can make it reconnect, but it is a pain, especially since I have to use the DVD drive every time I want to turn the thing on! The upsot of this is that I never shut it down... until Windows wants to update! All in all, a pile of rubbish! At some point soon I'll probably take it all apart and see what I can do... but why should I have to??
Good: good for browsing and email
Bad: lousy body and useless web cam
Comment: I bought a G570 Celeron for my parents basically to Skype with them. Right from the beginning the screws started falling off from under the keyboard and eventually the monitor almost came away from the keyboard. Luckily I got the base and topcover replaced by the dealer at no extra charge just before the warranty expired.
Besides it doesn't serve the purpose I originally bought it for. I cant see my parents clearly on skype. I can vaguely make out the outline of their faces and its dark as night even during the day. I initially thought it might be due to low light at their home but other PCs show up their faces bright & clear. I have tried everything possible to brighten up the screen for Skype. I only wish there was some way I could resolve the issue.
Comment: Very poor quality pc , realized my mistake as soon as I turned it on,the @ isactually under the 2 button ? not where @ is indicated on the key board.Cant find out how to save photos, no instructions , as soon as ive saved enough money this worthless laptop will go straight in the dustbin.
Bad: durability, and functionality
Comment: This is a bad product. After 3 months the blue screen appeared and I had it repaired under warranty. After a year it was back in the shop and I was told that the quality was so poor that it was not worth bringing it back when it breaks again, which will happen. The technician told me that he would prefer to buy a retailers own brand than the poor quality of the components. It has been a frustating machine. I have written this review whilst i wait for an image to copy and paste.
Bad: Almost everything.
Comment: Screws started falling out within first few months and hard drive failed after 13 months. If you're stupid to still buy this piece of junk or anything else by Lenovo then make sure you get an extended warranty.
Comment: where is print screen button in this device ??
( lenovo g 570 ) thanks :)
Bad: Very poor quality construction especially hinges
Comment: Had the machine 10 months. Screws have fallen out that hold the underside at the hinges. Left hand hinge now totally broken, pieces of metal and plastic fallen out, lid will not open without forcing apart the case. This is a widely reported fault, see on the internet!. The hinge design is not fit for purpose. had to phone Lenovo 5 times and send 3 emails before they responded to my complaint. They claim it will be repaired under warranty, but if the same flimsy parts are used what happens if the problem occurs again out of warranty. This design fault needs a proper permanent fix. Never had this before on any laptop I have owned. Lenovo must do something now to resolve the worldwide problem with this laptop.
Good: Good features with a budget price tag.
Bad: Higly poor build quality
Comment: My screen of this laptop is broken and need to be replaced. Can anyone could tell where I could get new screen for it which should be compatible in it.
