Good: Design
Bad: Low graphic skills, 32bit Windows
Comment: Uses Windows XP Home Edition 32bit when it's capable of Windows XP 64 bit+.
The drivers will not function with the new Windows XP x64 because HP Pavilion downloadable drivers are made for the Windows Home edition, therefor you have to go for a long walkabout to find all the files needed.

Good: Good number crunching, aesthetically pleasing design
Bad: Graphics, drivers provided by HP, support
Comment: Great for business use even though it was probably aimed at different market by HP. TotalCare support is abysmal however and hence the low rating, they keep on promising and then failing to deliver. The fault was caused by their choice to provide BIOS firmware on the update through Windows (as opposed to at bootup through DOS) as a result the blue screen of death came on and they had to replace the whole motherboard, which is essentially most of the notebook. I urge not to use their firmware update as you will probably not be seeing your laptop for two months after that.

Good: I like the fact that it does exactly what it says on the tin: no speed records but decent performance
Bad: The battery is too weak for the laptop's capacity
Comment: It's a great buy for the average consumer (who doesn't play games all day)! Everything you need, nothing you don't!
