Fujitsu LifeBook E8210 review

In this review

Performance
The LifeBook E8210 turned in a respectable score on CNET Labs' mobile benchmarks, equalling the performance of the Dell Latitude D820, which had a faster processor, and trouncing the Micro Express EL80. At the same time, the LifeBook E8210 ran a negligible 3 per cent faster than the significantly less expensive HP Compaq nx7400. Nevertheless, the Fujitsu has more than enough power for any business application mobile users would want to run.

Unfortunately, that performance came at a cost -- the LifeBook E8210 didn't fare as well in our battery tests. With a paltry 3 hours, 24 minutes of battery life on its high-capacity battery, it died 2 hours, 39 minutes before the Micro Express EL80, 1 hour, 27 minutes before the Dell Latitude D820 and 13 minutes before than the HP Compaq nx7400. Workers who want to spend a significant amount of time away from the wall socket should consider investing in the modular bay battery that can fit into the optical drive bay.
