Good: The graphics, the sound and the screen

Bad: Finding a suitable case for it to carry around in rainy England.

Comment: This is better than a Laptop, it is a portable desktop PC with great graphics and sound and the 20.1" screen is so clear.

I own it

Good: Perfect for LAN Party, long stay abroad and sommerhouse.

Bad: unsatble

Comment: Dear "Claire Hasker Formally Sly"
Had all the same issues with the bluetooth.
I solved it by turning off the security in the bluetooth.....SO if you can live with that, it might help you. Btw remember to check that "set point" is running.
best regards

Good: Brilliant sleek design.

Bad: Bluetooth MAJOR issues - weight - battery life

Comment: This is by far the BEST & the WORST laptop I have ever owned! When it is running well it is BRILLIANT. When you get a problem - it is MAJOR!! I bought this M2010 in 2006 - now in 2011, I am on my 3rd replacement, & it has just failed yet again. Predominantly it is always a Bluetooth issue, that unfortunately the keyboard & mouse are then un-useable if the bluetooth module fails. Dell tech support are pretty good on all problems - except when there is a bluetooth problem. Each time the laptop has failed with the bluetooth, the technician spends 2+ hours on the phone trying to rectify, then sends an engineer out to look at, - who also fails to repair, then their best & only solution to repair is to replace it!! - annoying. I have now been told, that the parts are no longer available, so I have to have a replacement this time to the equivelant price. - but Dell don't build a laptop with a 20" screen anymore!!! arrrgggghhh!!!! The laptop seemed way ahead of it's time, & I orignally purchased simply because it was so different to anything else out there. Not always the best way of choosing, but I'm glad I did, because - as I have said, when it was working it was brilliant. - no other computer/laptop is like it, & I would my replacement to be another M2010, but sadly this isn't going to happen & I'll probably end up with a poor Inspiron or something, with no balls! Oh well, goodbye M2010 you were brilliant, I'm just sad there won't be an M2011.......hehe Suppose next stop is ALIENWARE M17X ?? who knows??

Good: Its basically a compact desktop!

Bad: The weight

Comment: Before going to uni, I was in need of a new computer to do my course work on, I looked at various desktops and laptops, and decided I needed somthing with the power of a desktop PC but could also be used when traveling. After looking at a few Alienware and Dell laptops, I decided this laptop was for me. With a 20" screen, 200GB HD & 2GB ram, this was more than enough to win me over. The most usefull aspects of this laptop for me include the fact that I can simply fold it and carry it around like a brief case, somthing I cant do with my desktop PC. The removable keyboard is incredibly usefull, especially when typing up documents on my couch, I can sit back and relax with the keyboard on my lap, rather than having to crouch forward for hours on end and put up with back pain! The sound quality is also much better than any other laptop I have used, with 8 speakers and a subwoofer. This is also a pretty good gaming PC, I dont play games very often, but it plays Doom 3 on the highest settings with no problems, thats good enough for me.

Good: All in one power

Bad: External TV tuner

Comment: If you must carry a computer somehwere, take the company's. For home/personal and home business use, this is the product to have. I know it's irrational, but I have always loathed tower boxes. Do you think your microwave is beautiful? Me neither. I'd be game for pizza-box hardware if I had a ventilated server closet to spare; but I don't. In the meantime, and until we advance beyond the crank-to-start level of computing technology, this compact design provides all the options I want -- including the ability to move it around. As to price: tis is a once every 5-year cost. For the extraordinary utility of computers, who cares about the de minimus daily cost this represents?

Good: Nearly enough everything - one thing i hate about laptops is the keyboard but with this its perfect. Bring along a mouse and hey presto - instant desk where ever you go

Bad: Would have been nice to have bigger singular drives, and dual graphics card - not that its needed

Comment: Definately on my list of things to look out for and I'm very tempted to spend money on it. Just need a few more reviews and opinions from people that own it.

Good: 20 inches of goodness

Bad: That it's a step down from other Dells

Comment: Love the form factor but wouldn't buy until they give me more pixels!
