Good: Works, excellent screen
Bad: bit heavy as a tablet
Comment: Ok.. it's not an ideal tablet.. BUT as a laptop that can occasionally be used as a large tablet, it's the bees knees!
Comment: So funny reading this as the owner of an IBM Lenovo X60 tablet with a reversing screen and trying to think I am hearing something revolutionary or of good value for money. My mint reversing screen laptop cost me £110 and was revolutionary when it came out - what - 5 years ago or more.
Good: Good combination of power, battery life, and small form factor.
Bad: UNENCRYPTED WiDi is what connects the display. Not Linux compatible.
Comment: Confirmed with Dell Technical Support that the XPS 12 uses WiDi to connect the display. Furthermore, it is an UNENCRYPTED WiDi connection to the display. Because the XPS 12 uses the WiDi to display you must have the latest Intel drivers. Dell Technical informed me that it would not support Linux. This is probably due to the WiDi drivers, but that is just my speculation as to the reason. It does open some fascinating possibilities though. That's an unencrypted streaming video available for the reading. Just sayin.
Good: the inspiron duo was good for the delivery of psychometric testing
Comment: Looking forward to it. The other one is in constant use in our psychology department and is perfectly robust. Only problem that replacing the battery is a long job - 24 screws...
